Elegant French restaurant with calm atmosphere. Among the specialties not to be missed: the fondue bourguignonne, and the crêpes Suzette.

A corner of France 🇫🇷 in Rome. A restaurant that has been offering us traditional French cuisine since 1968. Tartare, Coq au Vin, Crêpe flambé, Soup au l'onion, pate' and fondue bourguignonne... and much more. Iole, the perfect hostess, welcomes you with all her skill for a refined experience of gourmet conviviality. Refined environment that is never eccentric or excessive. You feel pampered and satisfied by the service as if you were a regular, home customer. Chary's is the right restaurant to spend time with best friends, but also for a refined business dinner. In short, a place where it is worth going at least once and feeling like you are in France..

My husband has been going there since he was a child, he brought all his girlfriends there, and now we go there with our family. The treatment is always delicious, with sophisticated kindness and a pleasure to see us. We always take the usual dishes: onion soup, meat tartare with rosti and crepe Suzete. These are our favorite trios that we never give up. Everything done to perfection. The tartare and crepes are made in front of you thanks to a trolley that belonged to Charly and runs around the room. It is a historic place, and it is a unique experience if you like traditional French cuisine like it used to be. Exceptional wine selection!

16/02/2025: What an extraordinary experience!!! A haven of peace a few steps from the tumult of the Pantheon. Despite the late hour, the missionaries welcomed us for lunch in a very warm manner. We had a lovely time there, tasting simple but delicious dishes. Thank you 🙏

La Terrasse Cuisine & Lounge

28/02/2025: We stayed last summer in this elegant venue on the top floor of a luxury hotel. The outdoor rooftop is small, but has a fantastic view and a quiet, private atmosphere. We tried the aperitif option at 35 euros, more than valid from a quality-price point of view. The wines were excellent, the accompanying "tapas" were very good, if I remember correctly, 5 mini portions of dishes that I would have also ordered at the restaurant, certainly not simple snacks. The service was elegant and professional, with the staff truly courteous and nice. Interesting a la carte menu, prices higher than average, but given the location, it's absolutely fine. However, the a la carte dinner is served inside, while outside it is possible to take the 5-course tasting menu for 150 euros with wine pairing for 45 euros more. If you want to make an impression with an elegant and private location as well as a more than good culinary offering, you are in the right place!
07/02/2025: Gorgeous rooftop restaurant, amazing food, very scenic views! Celebrated my 18th birthday here the staff went above and beyond to make my meal special! Would recommend! It was very quiet during the week so definitely a great place for a private dinner :)
