Chapeau Ristorante In Vimercate

Last Saturday evening I had dinner with my family at Chapeau, a truly unique restaurant that definitely deserves a special mention. I would define the restaurant as a little jewel in Vimercate that I recommend to anyone looking for a truly special gastronomic experience.

Small and welcoming restaurant with attention to furnishings that we really liked. The menu had 4 choices for each section, from starter to main course. We ate well both the first and second courses of fish with very original dishes that combined the ingredients in a harmonious way. All accompanied by an excellent chilled Apulian chardonnay. We ended on a high note with an exceptional pistachio cheese cake. I recommend this restaurant, 10 and praise!

We have now become regular customers and therefore we can express what we have thought since the beginning of this adventure for the new owners of this small place in Vimercate. The dishes are always balanced and prepared with care and love by Gianluca, simple dishes with an eye to innovation and the reworking of our culinary tradition. Valentino, on the other hand, will welcome you into the room and is always kind, thoughtful and attentive. Excellent quality raw materials. For some time they have also been offering a tasty aperitif with excellent leavened products produced by them and a vast choice of wines and cocktails. It was the place that was missing in Vimercate: welcoming exterior and well isolated from the street and intimate and well-kept interior, perfect for an aperitif or dinner with the right quality/price ratio. We recommend it 100%!

A small theater decorated with a gramophone, a trumpet combined with background music, chapeau is cared for in the details of the furnishings as well as in the reinterpreted traditional cuisine. Cuttlefish ink risotto with prawn and robiola tartare, exceptional paccheri and pastry chef desserts. Few tables, highly attentive, courteous service and a pinch of theatre. Just outside the circle of old Vimercate, a surprise and a place to return.
