After a lovely stroll along the seafront, we went looking for a nice place to have lunch and, relying on the reviews, we stumbled upon Chalet Viareggio: Fantastic!!
Excellent, fresh food, topped off with a warm, friendly staff and very fair prices. We'll be back!

The pizza was also good (I tried the white one with rosemary), and at the restaurant, the
fish was really good and cooked beautifully: I tried gnocchi with clams (lupini for us from Campania), baked sea bream, and peppered mussels. You should try them all because everything was delicious! The fried zucchini they serve as a side dish are truly special, super crunchy. As a digestif, if you've never tried it, try the sailor's coffee. Overall, a 10. Fantastic peppered mussels!!!
Imagine the atmosphere... a Lucio Dalla song, the sound of the sea in the background, a glass of wine, and a peppered mussel dish called "scarpetta" (scarpet).

Lunch facing the sea, a basic chalet without many frills but with very kind and welcoming staff!
Price €30 per person for a fixed menu with fresh fish, including drinks and final sailor's coffee! Recommended for a good, not too demanding lunch by the sea 🙂
