The owner is exceptionally kind and helpful, the food is delicious, especially the fried fish and the peppered mussels. I highly recommend coming.

After a lovely stroll along the seafront, we went looking for a nice place to have lunch and, relying on the reviews, we stumbled upon Chalet Viareggio: Fantastic!! Excellent, fresh food, topped off with a warm, friendly staff and very fair prices. We'll be back!

Everything about this chalet is fantastic! The place is clean, and Giulio, the owner, and his wife, Alessandra, are friendly and welcoming. The food is superb! I really enjoyed the coffee (well-made, a rarity in these parts), very The pizza was also good (I tried the white one with rosemary), and at the restaurant, the fish was really good and cooked beautifully: I tried gnocchi with clams (lupini for us from Campania), baked sea bream, and peppered mussels. You should try them all because everything was delicious! The fried zucchini they serve as a side dish are truly special, super crunchy. As a digestif, if you've never tried it, try the sailor's coffee. Overall, a 10. (Some photos are missing because I forgot to take them.)

Fantastic peppered mussels!!! Imagine the atmosphere... a Lucio Dalla song, the sound of the sea in the background, a glass of wine, and a peppered mussel dish called "scarpetta" (scarpet).

Lunch facing the sea, a basic chalet without many frills but with very kind and welcoming staff! Price €30 per person for a fixed menu with fresh fish, including drinks and final sailor's coffee! Recommended for a good, not too demanding lunch by the sea 🙂

Small place directly on the beach, characterized by excellent hospitality, courtesy and helpfulness of the owner. Simple and tasty dishes, served at the right time and with an excellent quality-price ratio. Absolutely recommended.

Chalet directly on the beach the owner Giulio is a great host. We ate very well and everything was really plentiful. And do we want to talk about the sailor's coffee they prepare here??? Number 1 ever.. First place I go as soon as I get back to the beautiful Grottammare.

Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo scoperto questo ristorantino sul mare e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti! Il menù fisso di pesce è semplicemente perfetto: piatti deliziosi, ingredienti freschissimi e tante portate,il tutto a un prezzo davvero onesto. A rendere l’esperienza ancora più speciale è stata l’accoglienza del proprietario, una persona simpatica e disponibilissima, che ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. La cucina, poi, è curata con passione dalla moglie, e si sente: ogni piatto ha il sapore autentico della tradizione e della qualità. Torneremo sicuramente!

Chalet Ragno Verde

08/08/2025: Every year (for 30 years now), I absolutely can't help but stop by! I've always had a great experience, but I have to say that this year Vincenzo and his team have outdone themselves. What you see in the photo is a simply grilled tuna fillet, and some of you might say, "Well, come on...what's the big deal?" But I disagree. The service begins as soon as you set foot in the chalet, when, very hesitant, you don't know what to order. Vincenzo advises you, pampers you...he makes you feel at home (not something you can take for granted). Shall we talk about the choice of raw materials? Excellent! Shall we talk about the type of cooking required? Perfect. Shall we talk about the presentation of the dishes? (Because, yes, the eye also wants its part) Careful and fun in the combination of colors. My husband and son were invited here (I was invited too, but I couldn't make it 😩) for birthday parties, and they came home beyond thrilled with what they tasted. While they were telling me about all of Vincenzo's delicacies, I thought, "Damn my job! Next time, I'll do anything to be there 😩" Sorry for being so long-winded; I'm off now because I have to choose dessert 🤗🤗 UPDATE: I came back and tried their grilled vegetable skewers... I WANT TO BE ADOPTED BY THEM 😋😋😋😋😋
25/07/2025: 28 (from 26 to 30) I might return when I'm in the area, but I'll also consider other options first. Location 7: Clean, plenty of space between tables. Menu 7: Mainly seafood, but also pizza. The first course is good and the portions are generous. The second course is adequate, but the portions are a bit small. The desserts are very good, especially the cremolada. Service 7: Friendly and not pushy. Bill 7: Overall, reasonable for what we ate.
