Stopped for lunch in self service. Was very busy but got a table after waiting a while (too cold to sit outside so tables limited). Had tomato soup and lasagne, both fantastic. If you want the restaurant it is advisable to book in advance

We have enjoyed all of our lunches while snowboarding Zermatt and Cervinia, but Chalet Etoile was one of the standouts for us. Like all the spots we stopped for lunch, we highly recommend you make reservations well in advance. To start we had a meat and cheese board which was great! My husband and I both had the pasta special for lunch. It was so simple, white sauce and shaved white truffle, but the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was so simple and yet effective. They had a great wine list with a mix of everything from French to Italian wines. Really appreciated their bubble selection. We went with an Italian sparkling to complement the pasta and it was a great pairing! Highly recommend!

Very good, not cheap, but that's not the establishment's policy. A lovely place.

A truly unique and beautiful location. The food is good and the staff knows their stuff. The two biggest flaws are the service... but above all the prices. While it's true that we're high up in the mountains, they're a bit upscale... not suitable for people stopping off after skiing and not wanting to spend too much. The quality/price ratio, in my opinion, is a bit unbalanced.

Service was prompt and polite. The food, however, was less convincing: no draft beer, and ravioli that seemed to have had a previous life in a freezer. Perfectly serviceable, but not quite what one might expect from a restaurant so enthusiastically recommended.

Next-level restaurant on the slopes

Very good food but on the pricey side compared to other Italian restaurant or the self. But the food is very good and the staff are super nice (mostly from Sweden). they are willing to help and trying to find you a table even though you didn't reserve.
