Excellent ice cream, but I also have memories that take me back to Pieve d'Alpago, the summer holidays I spent there, a little further up, with my parents many years ago.

In Pieve d'Alpago, in the square near the church, you'll find Bar Centrale. Welcoming atmosphere, good service, and a lovely "rosso" terrace. A meeting place for residents, tourists, and those just passing through, where you can enjoy excellent gelato, have breakfast, enjoy an aperitivo, or simply enjoy a coffee while reading the paper.

La Vela

26/06/2026: We arrived at La Vela after driving for an hour on our way to Cortina. We we're greeted cheerfully when we walked in... happy to find a welcoming dining room. Our waitress recommended the specials of the day... calamari, sliced steak, and spaghetti with a tomato and olive ragu. Everything was fresh and delicious! We couldn't believe when we learned that La Vela provides 2000 lunches to the local businesses everyday! Incredible! Molto bene!
04/06/2026: Great canteen food. It was on our route during our Transalp tour.
