11/05/2025: The restaurant has a good reputation, and that's something. In our experience (dinner for two) it was not fully confirmed. You have to know how to make a carbonara well, otherwise you won't put it on the menu. Even the homemade dessert (a simple tiramisu) was without infamy or praise and in the evening it "recurred" in digestion. In Lucca, where you generally eat well, you expect much more. The service and the environment are more than pleasant but in our case getting the fundamentals wrong seemed serious to us. It may be that they perform better on other dishes (especially traditional ones) but I recommend not offering what you are not sure you can do well. I understand that carbonara, a non-local dish, was added because all foreigners ask for it, but that's no reason to make it in a hurry or badly.
