Caupona, not far from the Pompeii excavations. A truly fantastic place, recommended for anyone wishing to delve into the past, into ancient Roman Pompeii. Delicious food, both the traditional and contemporary menus. Excellent value. Very welcoming staff.

An immersive experience of the city, a journey through time through the ancient menu. Excellent service and very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and charming atmosphere, short waits, and excellent dishes. 100% recommended.

A wonderful and delicious experience at this place that took us back in time, thanks in part to the Roman "garments" they made us wear, which led me to discover "Senatore" 😂😂 Delicious food, just a little too much... too much 😅

Wonderful place located near the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. They offer a themed menu that recreates Roman meals, allowing guests to experience the flavors that the ancient Romans once ate. The staff is very attentive and patient. We went with two small children and they treated us with great respect. Loved the experience

Truly genuine 5 star experience of a ancient dinner in Roman empire. The service was delightful offer by Mr. Augusto and the food, ambience, architecture and music was like a perfect match for a back to the past experience. Highly recommend this experience with friends and family. The food is coming in big plates.

this place is a hidden gem in Pompeii. Our waiters Augusto and Cortino, made our experience unforgettable. The tomahawk steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked right at the table. The history and atmosphere made our experience completely magical.

It's not your typical "tourist trap." On the contrary, it offers a relaxing atmosphere and excellent ingredients, starting with the bread. The menu is thoughtfully designed, the "Ancient Rome" theme is appealing, and Giovanni is an attentive host. One small flaw: the braised beef is a bit too "salty," but...no big deal. Prices are reasonable.

Something truly unique, the food was great, i highly recommend the Gladiator menu. At the time we were there, they only served the Gladiator and Eros menu, nothing a la carte. The atmosphere is amazing, for free you can dress up in either a senator or a patrona costume. Real nice experience. Prices reasonable, 7 euros for a starter, about 18 euros for a main dish

18/02/2026: Amazing fried shrimp appetizer! Definitely a must try with pumpkin cream. Very good food and super nice service.
13/02/2026: A classy restaurant, meticulously maintained down to the smallest detail. Enzo, the owner, is a sweet and very polite man, and he exudes the passion he seeks to imbue the restaurant with. The food is truly out of this world, from the chef's welcome to everything else. When I'm back in Pompeii, I'll definitely be back.

06/04/2026: A great discovery, it's a shame it was our last day in Naples. We went on Easter Sunday, so for obvious reasons (many other places were closed), we had to wait a bit for a table... but it was worth it. The food was excellent. Mrs. Luciana was very kind, as was all her staff. The pizza chefs even brought a pizza dough to the table to help me while my daughter waited... all the dishes were beautiful and delicious, from the starters, which were delicious and plentiful, to the main courses, and the excellent pizza... Congratulations to everyone.
06/04/2026: Superbe. I've lived in Italy for over 23 years and commonly eat well when eating out. It is rare that I will post a review. La Taverna di Luciana is one of those special finds that absolutely merits distinction. Starting with the bread that goes on the table, moist sour dough with a great crunch, to the seafood pasta brimming with flavor, to the crisply fried cod fish in a delicate batter. All of it was so expertly executed. My husband's pizza, a simple Margherita was so light and so profumati. Just delicious. My grilled squid was sweet and tender. To finish I had the lightest pastiera I've ever had in my life. All homemade. Incredible quality. Reasonable prices. Do not miss this place. The staff were kind and welcoming. No pretense, just really good food. I'll definitely come again the next time I'm in Naples.
