One of the best bars in the centre. Excellent service, all very nice guys. Try the fried gnocco, one of the best and truly freshly made in the centre.

Very nice place in the part with the internal tables. Super central location. Good mini desserts and coffee, good service from the waitresses, the way of having the cash register and pastry counter separate from the table area is a bit complicated. Furthermore, the wait to pay is too long and they don't seem to have enough staff to handle the influx of people.

Pasticceria turistica in una zona del centro frequentata da turisti. Arredi e tavoli esterni carini. Dolci senza infamia e senza lode.

I give 3 stars because I found it absurd to pay 2 euros cover charge for having a big salad. It's not a restaurant....

I mean.. it's impossible not to be attracted by the beauty of the pastries that Cathedrali offers. I'm not a huge fan of whipped cream but their "maritozzi" are just a feast for the eyes and a I couldn't order something else. After I tried one I can confirm it's a feast also for the mouth! I had the crazy idea to add also 2 small bignets but in retrospect it was too much. The maritozzi alone made it for a very rich breakfast. Cathedrali is placed in the liveliest square on Modena and in the evening it changes target and sells savory food. It's probably great but in my imagination it's a breakfast bar. And a gorgeous one. Staff may seem a bit "disconnected" at first but it's very friendly once you start talking with them. I believe they are just overwhelmed with the amount of tables they need to keep an eye on.

We love the amarena lojata, but the crema bignè is sensational. What a wonderful cream.

Unfortunately, unfriendly and obviously unmotivated service (no buongiorno, no smile, no friendly look, no prego). The only restaurant where we didn't leave a tip. We weren't impressed with the chocolate cornetto (filled with pudding), but the cappuccino and orange juice were perfect. Good location and looking at the positive aspects three stars.

Sono abbastanza fissa in questo delizioso bar pasticceria di fronte al Duomo, sia al mattino per le colazioni che al pomeriggio per una pausa caffè. Delizioso per la location, la gentilezza del personale, e per paste, brioches, e varie. È carino dentro ma il top sono i tavolini fuori con vista sul passeggio di Corso Duomo.Oggi pomeriggio mi è capitato un imprevisto da infarto: dopo avere pagato sono andata in bagno dimenticando il portafoglio, una volta uscita, me ne sono accorta quando ero già lontana. Tornata indietro di corsa, le ragazze lo avevano trovato e messo al sicuro, e me lo hanno restituito. Grazie mille e alla prossima.
