A culinary highlight in a dream location! The Thurnstein Restaurant in Merano completely delighted us! Just arriving on the beautiful castle grounds with a view over Merano is an experience in itself – a place full of charm and tranquility. The food was excellent: regional specialties with a refined touch, perfectly prepared and lovingly presented. The fresh ingredients and seasonal selection are particularly noteworthy – the cooking here is done with true passion! The service was also first-class: attentive, warm, and professional, without being intrusive. You feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment. Conclusion: Absolutely recommended – we will definitely be back! Hello South Tyrolean fans, today we dined at Thurnstein Castle for the second time. I had tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms, my wife had salmon trout, and my grandchildren had Wiener schnitzel and spaghetti Bolognese. The food was once again fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and attentive! We will be back!👍

An insider tip in Merano! The food at Schloss Thurnstein was absolutely delicious – fresh, high-quality, and prepared with great attention to detail. The ambiance is simply gorgeous: stylish, cozy, and with a magnificent view. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive. You feel completely at home. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back! Very easy to reach on the 236 bus from Merano train station.

Beautiful location, family-run, great family, idyllic, great cuisine

A very nice restaurant in Thurnstein Castle. We took a short break here and enjoyed an apple strudel on the sunny terrace. The elderflower spritzer and the sports water are also highly recommended. We'd be happy to return.
