Located in an extraordinarily beautiful, old, and picturesque castle with a magnificent view. Excellent food, highly recommended as a day trip destination. Within walking distance of St. Peter's Church and the beautiful hiking trail to Tirol Castle.

Just arriving on the beautiful castle grounds with a view over Merano is an experience in itself – a place full of charm and tranquility. The food was excellent: regional specialties with a refined touch, perfectly prepared and lovingly presented. The fresh ingredients and seasonal selection are particularly noteworthy – the cooking here is done with true passion! The service was also first-class: attentive, warm, and professional, without being intrusive. You feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment. Conclusion: Absolutely recommended – we will definitely be back! Hello South Tyrolean fans, today we dined at Thurnstein Castle for the second time. I had tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms, my wife had salmon trout, and my grandchildren had Wiener schnitzel and spaghetti Bolognese. The food was once again fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and attentive! We will be back!👍

The ambiance is simply gorgeous: stylish, cozy, and with a magnificent view. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive. You feel completely at home. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back! Very easy to reach on the 236 bus from Merano train station.
