Castello di Bubbio In Bubbio

Stayed 2 nights. The accommodation is part of the Bubbio Castle complex. The room was tidy and clean, and the bathroom was adequate. Only complaint: every time the fan coil was turned on, it made a loud noise due to the whirring of the fans. Even when the fan coil was turned down, the noise persisted, and obviously this happened every time the temperature dropped below the set threshold. We didn't immediately report the issue (having noticed it on New Year's Eve), but I simply reported it to the receptionist after leaving the room (...). Otherwise, I can highlight the decent breakfast offered, with various options. Good luck!

Everything is high quality and full of special details. We went during the off-season, so the hotel restaurant itself wasn't open, but the owner, who is very friendly and attentive, recommended an excellent restaurant next door. The town has just over 800 inhabitants, so it's a place to enjoy peace and quiet.

We had our Italo-English wedding at the end of May 2025 at Il Castello di Bubbio, and the first thing we want to say is that Alessandro is an angel! He went further than "above and beyond" - we genuinely couldn't have asked for more from his inputs, his efforts, and the setup for the venue he made to make our day the most cherished of our lives. On to the venue: all of our guests were incredibly impressed by the location. Il Castello not only has stunning views from its garden that overlooks the wine-making hills surrounding Bubbio, but it truly has a beautiful interior too, from the restaurant to the hotel rooms. We held our ceremony in the garden (which was in full bloom at that time of year, and included a lovely rose-lined tunnel that we made use of as an aisle), followed by an aperitivo. The garden was a perfect spot for our 75 guests - big enough to feel spacious and comfortable, but contained enough to feel intimate. It has many, many cute spots for photos as groups or individually. Afterwards, we had dinner in the restaurant, which is really beautiful on its own, and we felt no need to add decorations besides table centrepieces. The food provided was all exquisite and clearly of high-quality - we ate typical Piemontese cuisine using local ingredients for our entire menu, from antipasti to dolci (so you need not look elsewhere for a wedding cake). The wine was amazing too, which by this stage you should expect no less from Il Castello. We then had our dancing late into the night in the restaurant (a small number of tables were cleared away to make space for a dancefloor). One small note of warning: it can get very hot here! Now, the remainder of our stay. The bedrooms were very comfortable, roomy, allowing in lots of natural light and elegantly decorated. The breakfast was a continental selection, and abundant. Finally, back to the staff. We recognise the hard work that every single employee at Il Castello had to put in to make our day magical - we thank them all! In particular, Alessandro, as our main contact. Never before have we encountered someone so dedicated to premium customer service, whilst being gracious and friendly. It was a delight to have our wedding at Il Castello. If we could do it again here, we would! And we are looking forward to visiting the venue again in the future as normal guests!

Don't hesitate to eat there. Very nice restaurant, beautiful wine cellar. The owners are very kind and pleasant.

We stumbled upon this beautiful hotel by pure chance. The place is enchanting, meticulously maintained, elegant, and clean. The staff is incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. The restaurant and wine list are excellent. Breakfast is especially thoughtfully prepared, with a variety of delicious, original, and high-quality options.

We had a fantastic week's holiday in Piedmont! We enjoyed a charming hotel with great hospitality from the owners. The breakfast each morning was especially excellent! We had two delicious meals in the restaurant, accompanied by some lovely Piedmont wines. In short: highly recommended! 👌😎

The location is breathtaking and the service is excellent. The egg tajarin with butter and sage are truly special. The tartare and the recommended wine are also top-notch.
