Very friendly welcome and service The dishes were well prepared, especially the tagliatelle with Tuscan ragout! And believe me, even in Italy, this is often far from being the case! Cool atmosphere set back from the noisy main street. Worth the detour

In Tuscany there is an amazingly beautiful place called the gladiator's road. The name is due to the fact that one of the episodes of the film “Gladiator” starring Russell Crowe was filmed here. In Italian they call it via del gladiatore, strada dei gladiatori. The Gladiator Road itself is located near a place called Pienza, the place is very beautiful and picturesque. Of course, having been in such a place, you want to eat and we were very lucky to find this place, we liked everything, the interior, the cuisine, the service and the heart-to-heart conversations.

The food was good, without a doubt. A little under-seasoned for my taste, but tasty. The aperitif was ok. Unfortunately we did not like the desserts, the tiramisu had been whipped for far too long and was therefore very stiff and fell like a lump on the stomach, the pannacotta was ok. We mainly came here for the nice setting on the terrace and the friendly owner.

The restaurant has a nice indoor and outdoor seating area. We had a great bell pepper stew, as well as a boar stew and a very good lasagne (my husbands lasagne still wins though). The waiter was very nice! Once he found out it was our wedding anniversary, he brought us a complimentary small bottle of limoncello which we really enjoyed and was so sweet!

What local quality. Friendliness and affordable. A fantastic house wine white for 13 euros. Choose the risotto which is really fantastic.

I had dinner at this place with my wife and we had a very pleasant evening. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, the climate familiar and serene. We ate well and were served with extreme attention.
