A little complicated to get there but it was worth it

What a beautiful experience!!! We chose Cascina Castello by browsing on Maps... we were really happy... a splendid place nestled in the heights of Serra!!! It's a shame about the weather because it was a bit foggy and raining... excellent staff, very welcoming friends and the food was truly delicious... home-made dishes with a touch more personality than other places!!! ❤️😍🥹 I apologize for the few photos 😊

The best for eating well, healthy in a welcoming place immersed in the countryside of our hinterland

A REAL farmhouse, it can't even be defined as a farmhouse, but rather as a farmhouse. The place is surrounded by greenery, the owners are welcoming and generous to say the least. You really feel "at home", as if after a long journey someone welcomed you with a plate heated on the stove (the old stove). The food is truly km 0 (you can feel it), a chat and the day went by in a flash! Thanks Francesco! See you soon!

Pranzo di Natale in famiglia, tutti molto soddisfatti e ultra sazi! Molti antipasti della cucina ligure, ravioli fantastici , arrosto ottimo e dolci fatti in casa. Ingredienti tutti a km0 di alta qualità. Da non dimenticare gli ottimi vini piemontesi! Continuate così, torneremo al disgelo per goderci i tavolini all'aperto. Grazie Francesco!

Christmas lunch with the family, everyone was very satisfied and very full! Many appetizers from Ligurian cuisine, fantastic ravioli, excellent roast meat and homemade desserts. High quality ingredients all at km0. Don't forget the excellent Piedmontese wines! Keep up the good work, we will return when the thaw arrives to enjoy the outdoor tables.

Genuine food, difficult to find these days

Veniamo spesso in questo splendido posto soprattutto per le cene/ pranzi con amici. La location è davvero molto suggestiva, in inverno c'è il camino e invece in primavera-estate si è in mezzo al verde, il tutto in una cornice fatta di genuinità e accoglienza dei proprietari, che ti viziano come se fossi uno di famiglia. Il cibo è squisito e abbondante,tutto fatto rigorosamente da loro con prodotti genuini. Il menù ovviamente varia in base alla disponibilità e ai prodotti di stagione. Di solito noi facciamo la formula compresa di antipasti misti che variano dai salumi formaggi, torte di verdura insalata russa panissa... 2 assaggi di primi serviti nelle pirofile, e 2 secondi ( involtini alla messinese super!), vino, dolce, caffè, e amari. Il prezzo è più che onesto, sui 30/40 euro. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Last minute Sunday lunch. Super welcome and pleasant environment. Shortly after sitting down, we are brought an appetizer with good cured meats, Russian salad and homemade focaccia and excellent onions, aubergines, stracchino. We choose gnocchi with leeks and mostardella, a decidedly delicious dish. As a second course we opt for some really super mini meat rolls. As a sweet apricot jam tart. All with water and loose cherry blossom. To finish, coffee. €75 for a couple (€35 each + drinks).
