06/01/2026: A charming and characteristic location in the province of Florence, housed in a grotto that exudes an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine offers traditional dishes from the Arno Valley, prepared with care and attention, ensuring a truly satisfying experience.
Among the dishes, the zuppa inglese deserves a special mention, expertly prepared and with a refined flavor.
The staff was friendly and attentive, welcoming us with kindness and even showing attention to our little dog, a gesture we particularly appreciated.
A restaurant that combines tradition, quality, and hospitality: an experience we wholeheartedly recommend.
05/01/2026: We stopped for a Florentine steak. In the end, we had to opt for a rib-eye. The best part of the meal was the baked potatoes... Professional and adequate service.
I'm responding to the owner's response. I feel it's my duty to please the reader. My reviews are always read by thousands of people. I've worked for a large company for years and have traveled throughout Italy.
I've rarely encountered such poor customer service.
1) The steak was eaten because the meat wasn't bad, but it was charred on the surface, so we scraped off the bitter/burnt part.
We didn't eat it all, and since it cost €6.50 per 100g (considering that things are thrown away), we decided to take away the rest, which was properly "stabled" to be eaten the next day (50% edible).
2) Our mistake was not changing our plans when a 1.6 kg steak arrived when we asked the staff member for 1-1.2 kg. She replied, "I have to ask because I don't know if we can do a cut smaller than 1.6 kg." The table behind us, which was only one person, was served a 1.2 kg steak! (It was also served first to those who arrived after us). We should have known we were being crafty.
3) Dear sir, when I told you about the cooking, you apologized and, to make up for it, offered us two coffees (as a sort of consolation). The single coffee (burnt) was only tasted.
I hope I've made my review clear.
