Casa Molisana In Castropignano

I have to be honest: today two of us had lunch in this restaurant. The food was normal, a plate of pappardelle with white truffle and sausage and a plate of tagliatelle with truffle cream, not even abundant at the modest price of €30. If you love armed robberies, go to this place. Among other things, we were alone in the room. And now I understand why.

Very clean and with kind and nice bartenders

We took tagliatelle with truffles, but they didn't seem to be creamed, the truffle was there, but I had to ask for oil, because the pasta was only boiled. Limited choice of dishes, perhaps because it was lunch time? Modern and pleasant place.

Decent food. The thing that I was most disappointed about, besides my first being tasteless, but I must say my mother's was good, was the girl at the tables...zero empathy!!

Kind and decisive even in times of difficulty.

Arriving late in the service, the staff still welcomed us and seated us. We chose dishes based on Molise summer truffles. We enjoyed everything. The best among what we tried was the tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffle. Worth highlighting is the small but well-stocked shop selling local Molisani products.

Shop specializing in the sale of local products, mainly truffles, porcini mushrooms, pickles and wine but not only. Next to the shop is a small restaurant, accessed from inside, with just under twenty tables, a good choice of excellent quality and plentiful dishes (really tasty). Small note of demerit to the restaurant service, not serious but improvable: hasty presentation of the menu, bread cut too thick, plates greasy around the edges, perhaps more so the choice of dish not really suitable for the dish (grilled cheese). Definitely a necessary stop to best savor the delicacies of the area with the possibility of purchasing some ingredients.
