Alberto Marchetti focuses on quality ingredients in his gelato shops. The selection of flavors isn't vast, but includes classics and unique creations/combinations. Last time I tried the Chivasso hazelnut flavor, tiny biscuits made with egg whites, sugar, and hazelnuts, which were generously sprinkled over the gelato. This flavor, along with the classic cream flavor, formed the basis of the black cherry variegated gelato I ordered. The syrup and black cherries were plentiful, making it a truly drowned gelato, complete with biscuit. The prices are moderately high; obviously, you pay for quality, but the quantity is absolutely adequate. The portions are NOT tiny, as I've experienced at other gelato shops that claim to be the best and then give you a spoonful of gelato. One of Alberto Marchetti's specialties is zabaglione, made with various alcoholic beverages. I personally don't particularly enjoy the preparation, but my friends who regularly go there say it's delicious. They serve it at the counter with the gelato or sell it in tubs to take away. If you happen to be in the center of Turin, make a stop!

Overall, I'd say it was delicious. The strawberry ice cream was really good, you should try it. The mango and chocolate ones were also good. There's very little seating, so you have to wait a bit before you can eat the ice cream.

A must-see in Turin!! One of the best gelatos I've ever had. In the world! Friendly staff and excellent products, like the Zabá and Bunet.
