Oh this is quite lovely. A modern take on contemporary Italian, with touches of nouvelle cuisine (especially in the case of amuse-bouche).
We came in with a personal request for lighter dishes and the staff were very accommodating - both in terms of recommending dishes that would fit that profile and even creating a salad that wasn't on the menu that day, which served as an appetizer for both of us. The amuse-bouche was served on rocks (literal rocks) and while intriguing and light, did not hold the candle to both the amazing salad and even better mains that followed. It was a very nice gesture of the restaurant though, and certainly much appreciated.
Speaking of appreciation, the two dishes we ended up taking were both fabulous. The fish in tempura was light, the fish was moist and the sides complemented it very nicely. Maybe the portion size is not exactly the most impressive but the taste was spot on (conversely, the one portion of salad divided between the two of us was plentiful so in the end we left the place full). The pasta dish meanwhile was coated in an incredibly flavourful orange sauce and got progressively better with each taste. From my understanding that dish was not on the regular menu as well so once again I must applaud the chef's creativity.
Service is excellent. Coperto comes at 4 euro per person. Prices are on the higher side (although still reasonable) and the place has both indoor seating and a few tables outside in a relatively peaceful surrounding of a side street. The only minor downside is that any of the smoking guests come out to smoke outside, and given the narrow alley it's nigh impossible to avoid smoke.

Went there 3 times during our 1.5 week stay in Maiori. Only higher end place in the main town that's worth the price. Get the mackerel when available and tuna belly. Great experience.

I have known this restaurant since it opened. He has never disappointed, but this year the level has really risen. For me, being from Milan, Casa Mandina is the closest thing to a starred restaurant you can find on the Amalfi Coast: from the imagination of the chef, to the quality of the raw materials, from the kindness and professionalism of all the staff to the care for the rooms, there is nothing there. a comma out of place. There are those who enter and mistake the place for a museum or a church, it is certainly a temple of cuisine and well-being. Chef Christian cooks in full view and it is also possible to have lunch at the counter in front of him to follow his every step. If you are looking for the usual pizza or traditional dishes, stay away, but if you are interested in trying something more refined, welcome. I recommend the red mullet with prawns in an aubergine roll, the cod in tempura with guacamole and octopus mayonnaise or the ravioli with Genoese carpaccio filling. Among the desserts, the Concerto tiramisu (typical liqueur) is worth a try. Let's get to the prices: you don't spend much, but the whole coast is expensive. Here at least you pay a price appropriate to the quality of what you eat. Starter, main course, dessert, glass of (good) wine cost around €60 but you leave full and happy without feeling robbed. They also have three children's menu options.

Simply wonderful: for those who visit the Coast and, in particular, Maiori, I would like to suggest this stage as a precious experience. Beyond the quality, refinement and excellence of the culinary offerings and the pairings with particular wines, the welcome is truly extraordinary and accompanies, with delicacy, the family dimension of the owners: a poetic philosophy of life, without rhetoric, but with the pleasantness of one passionate yet discreet storytelling. The place is almost hidden in the alleys of Maiori, a few steps from the sea. The interior, with its modern design, delicately introduces (without leaving them completely predictable in their refinement) the delicious creations of a cuisine, which has nothing to envy of the starred one. Whoever goes, ask the story of the nuts in the sack, which appears as a proverb on the walls and on the menu. He will be surprised and touched, I think, as we were. Highly recommended

I had dinner here with my boyfriend. We tasted a raw fish appetizer and a first course, all accompanied by a bottle of wine and dessert. The quality of the food is excellent. The service too. The waiter who looked after us during dinner was very kind and gave us suggestions on both the dishes and the wine (we wanted to try one from the area). The style of the place and also of the dishes is elegant, I would recommend it for a romantic dinner!

Un’esperienza di gusto davvero notevole. Difficile distinguersi in luoghi di vacanza, le attività di ristorazione sembrano essere tutte modello Fast food con prezzi da capogiro, ma poi abbiamo provato questo ristorante che non solo non si discute per la qualità e la raffinatezza delle pietanze, ma lascia traspirare anche tutto l’amore dei proprietari durante il servizio. Personale di sala cortese e familiare. Cucina a vista da dove scorgere la sapienza con cui i due fratelli chef mescolano gli ingredienti per farne uscire un’esplosione di gusti che vale la pena provare. Ci torneremo sicuramente! Bravi, continuate così. “Non chi comincia, ma quel che persevera”. Punteggio massimo e anche più.

Ristorante a conduzione familiare elegante, con piatti gourmet davvero interessanti. Si vede in tutto l'impegno dello chef e del personale nel tentare di portare il ristorante ad un gradino superiore, cucina raffinata e servizio ottimo. Ovviamente i prezzi dei piatti sono più alti della media, ma sono a mio avviso commisurati a quello che si mangia.
