Outdoor cafe on a sunny Saturday morning. Decent coffee (the food cannot be evaluated because they don't serve croissants). The view of the garden and the Castle is beautiful. The table service needs to be reviewed: a smile costs nothing, it felt like a nuisance.

Beautiful venue located in the square of the castle of Udine. Super service with very kind staff and attentive to customer needs; all the courses are delicious and quite plentiful and the same goes for the wines offered. Prices normal for the standard of the location.

Casa della Contadinanza ..piazzale della Patria del Friuli 2 ..Udine historic centre. It is always open and has outdoor tables and our 4-legged friends are allowed here. This restaurant is located in the square of the castle of Udine... from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and the hilly areas and of the medieval historic center itself. The internal location is very beautiful... interesting... and elegant and has a reference to the peasant life of yesteryear. For this reason it has very interesting characteristics that can only be noticed upon entering...and they give a spectacular effect and it's like going back in time. The staff is kind and very attentive to everything the customer may want, and the service is perfect and fast, here you eat typical Friuli dishes...and you drink a vast series of Friulian wines, craft beers and there is an excellent internal bar service. But what more could you want for a successful evening dinner out of town...

Esperienza di oggi, sabato 28 dicembre, a pranzo, in una meravigliosa giornata di sole, fantastica. Agevole raggiungere il colle della città, grazie ad un comodo ascensore, non facile da individuare per chi visiti Udine la prima volta. La vista è superba, con il centro storico ai tuoi piedi e le cime delle Alpi così vicine e nitide da apparire a pochi passi di distanza. Il Castello della città, trasformato nei secoli in un bellissimo palazzo, con, al suo interno, notevoli collezioni antiche e pregevoli opere d'arte, merita una attenta visita. In questo contesto così suggestivo, si erge, ingentilita dalle sue strutture ad arco, l'antica Casa della Contadinaza, pregevole edificio storico. Al suo interno, un ristorante di qualità, entro saloni che rimandano ad un passato fastoso. Ci siamo trovati, io e mia moglie, molto bene. Una cucina tipica, friulana, ma con una rivisitazione accorta e gustosa, ed accostamenti di gusti e sapori delicati. Personalmente, ma, ovvio, si tratta di una valutazione del tutto soggettiva, anche troppo delicati: per me, il tornino di lenticchie con patate e verdure, risultava troppo delicato, mancava una punta di sale. Certo, si può sempre aggiungere, a degustazione, ma non è mai la stessa cosa. Ottime tagliatelle ai funghi porcini e prosciutto crudo perfetto nel suo taglio e stagionatura. Personale molto professionale e di grande cortesia, un grazie al giovane Maitre, inappuntabile. Prezzo onesto; preferibile prenotare, specie nel fine settimana. Lo consigliamo.

Vespa Club Udine dinner for 100 people, top location, one of the most beautiful in Udine, both external (next to the castle) and internal. Fast and efficient service, despite the large number of people present. Excellent overall organisation, aperitif standing on the ground floor and dinner sitting on the upper floor. Correct quality/price ratio and aligned with the location.

On 7 December 24 I attended the VespaClubUdine social dinner, 105 participants of all ages and in spite of myself (with pathologies I am Celiac and they were very attentive to my problem), fabulous location, for those who arrived on time and had everything the time needed, the standing part of the dinner was super abundant, I had to refuse some portions, and the glass was always full, compliments to the very polite and professional service guys. At the table everything was as planned, it wasn't a wedding dinner but since we were already full before the table, a first course, a second course and a very good side dish were more than enough, dessert and coffee completed everything, wine and water were always plentiful. Ottimo locale a due passi dal centro con piatti di tradizione e cucina tipica del Friuli. Ambienti spaziosi e accoglienti con affreschi sulla storia della città gestito da bravi giovani che riservano molta attenzione e ospitalità al cliente. Piatti espressi e tipici della zona accompagnati da ottima scelta di vini locali. Ideale per passare una piacevole giornata grazie anche alla posizione e alla splendida vista sulle montagne intorno. È consigliabile la prenotazione.
