What a beautiful, typical yet historic place in a unique location

The castle restaurant, in addition to offering a panoramic view, has preserved its historical heritage in its two large dining rooms and in the building itself, as well as a relaxing outdoor courtyard overlooking the castle. The menu is typically respectful of Friulian tradition. The tagliolini are good, and the frico is decent, but not beautifully presented. As for the table wine, I would avoid the Merlot and opt for the Cab. Franc. The staff is young and friendly. The prices are a bit higher than usual, especially for drinks. Unfortunately, although there is also an elevator, this historic restaurant has become less and less popular.

The rating is based on the splendid location, in the square of Udine Castle. The quality of food and drinks can vary depending on the catering company. However, I've never had any problems during several lunches and dinners.
