A traditional restaurant right in the city center. There are several floors, and each room is different. The goulash soup is excellent.

Bolzano, a tourist area. The restaurant is centrally located and accordingly busy at lunchtime. Good service, the food is okay, nothing particularly special, but the price/performance ratio is reasonable for the location.

While visiting Bolzano, we stopped here for lunch. The pizza wasn't great, but the beef carpaccio was good. The service was professional and friendly. However, they don't accept American Express.

We were looking for a place to have lunch and eat the typical dumplings in broth and we found this characteristic restaurant in the city center. We ate delicious dumplings, the staff were helpful, and the place was cool. I recommend it.

The food was okay, we ordered the tartufato pizza which was nice. The polenta was not good at all, just 2 plain squares of polenta and a cold square of cheese. We ordered some kinda ribs which where nice. The tiramisu was also regular. The service was very nice tho :)

Restaurant Gasthof Mesnerwirt

11/09/2025: The rooms are rustic but clean. For wet motorcyclists, they're happy to dry clothes in the dryer. The staff is very good and friendly. I was particularly impressed by Alex, a funny Bavarian with his friendly, open manner. The pizza and breakfast are delicious.
10/09/2025: A lovely stopover near Bolzano. The room was a bit dated but clean. On-site restaurant and good breakfast.
