11/05/2025: We had dinner at Bacaro in Lecce and the experience was overall positive, hence the 4 stars.
To start, we opted for a platter of mixed cold cuts and cheeses and some fried foods, both appreciated and tasty, perfect for whetting the appetite. The highlight of the evening was the El Maximo, a Tagliata di Filletto di Manzo di Rubia Gallega served with parmesan flakes, cherry tomatoes and rocket. The meat was excellent, tender and cooked to perfection, a real pleasure for the palate.
The service was attentive and the atmosphere of the place pleasant (even if there was little air circulation and we felt a bit hot).
All in all, the quality of the food is undoubtedly high. However, I must point out a couple of aspects that did not convince me entirely. First of all, I found the prices a bit high compared to average. Secondly, a small critical note goes to the menu layout, which I found a bit messy and with some small grammatical errors here and there, a detail that clashes a bit with the general care of the place and the dishes.
Despite these small flaws, the goodness of the cuisine amply justifies a positive evaluation and I would definitely recommend Bacaro to those looking for quality meat dishes in Lecce.

The welcoming environment and pleasant atmosphere made the evening pleasant.
The staff proved to be friendly and attentive, helping to create a hospitable atmosphere. Sufficient starter, first course of excellent quality and flavour.
A place that is definitely worth a visit for those looking for good food and top-notch service.
