📌 The food was reasonably good quality and flavorful, despite the lack of several of the requested options (fried anchovies, Sicilian-style pasta, spaghetti with clams, some desserts). 📌 Disorganized and somewhat confusing service (napkins were missing; requested, never arrived, requested again, and then received). The atmosphere was familiar and informal, pleasant. The location on the lakeside is beautiful, better when less crowded, otherwise the noise is guaranteed. 📌 Negative note: Let me start by saying we're animal lovers, but seeing cats at the tables eating leftovers from the plates of departing guests wasn't a nice sight. They'll even be washed in the dishwasher (I hope!), but it's unacceptable... I'd probably go back; but not because of the cat issue, which poses a risk of food contamination.

At "Caronte," suspended between the mystical waters of Lake Averno and the rustling of herons, I found a harmony known only to the most ancient nature. The aromas of lake herbs dance like spirits on the palate, while curious geese and solemn cats keep watch like guardians of a secret temple. Each dish is a microscopic universe of life and wisdom, a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds. Here, I breathe in the eternal: earth, water, and sky merge in pure gastronomic ecstasy.

This is a very nice place, with limited seating, practically on the lake. The atmosphere is very rustic, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the menu isn't extensive but offers generous dishes and fair prices for both fresh and frozen fish. It's a great place for a quick lunch and a nice stroll around the lake.

Wonderful! Exceptional homely location. I felt right at home. We ate the sublime pacchero with hen! Highly recommended! I'll be back!

I gave three stars only for the location of the restaurant but for the rest it is better to go elsewhere

We stumbled across this place while on a wonderful walk. We were invited to sit where a delicious spread of cheese, olives, bread, and meats was placed in front of us. They also offered a choice of two red wines, one aged in a tank and the other in wood, and a fresh lemon drink for those who preferred not to drink alcohol. Beautiful setting and fairly priced. They also accept card.
