If you're looking for a seafood restaurant in Patti, Trattoria La Carbonella is an excellent choice, especially if you appreciate fresh seafood and a casual atmosphere. Prices aren't exactly cheap. The restaurant is small and unsuitable for groups of more than four people, not only because of the space but also because the service leaves much to be desired, with extremely long waits and staff unsuitable for managing so many diners. Our table consisted of 14 people: "a disaster." The only positive note is the quality of the fish, cooked divinely, which overshadowed everything else, forgiving the otherwise very kind waiter for the poor service.

We had a really good time. We chose the tasting menu and it was an excellent choice. The ingredients are top-quality. The staff is well-trained and professional. The price was worth every penny. I highly recommend it!

I came across this restaurant by quickly searching online. I arrived (as booked) at 9:00 PM and they seated us right away, after which there was absolutely nothing... It was 10:00 PM and I at least asked for bread, which was brought right away along with the menus. We tasted bread and water. We ordered immediately afterward. We decided on the tasting menu, which included an appetizer, a choice of 1 first course (from 2), and a choice of 1 second course (from 2). We waited another 40 minutes for it, and obviously, since it was almost 11:00 PM, we asked for more bread. The appetizer was meager, to say the least... I've attached a video. It took another 30-40 minutes to get a taste of the first course (caserecce alla norma)... Good. We finished with a second course, which was swordfish cutlets (3 pieces)... which were really bad... Out of 4 people (of which 3 had ordered them, only 1 found them tasty... So we gave them to him). Terrible experience.... We woke up feeling hungry... Exhausted from the wait, and paid a VERY HIGH bill. €60.00 per person for 4 stupid dishes eaten in a span of 3 and a half hours. Having frequented so many restaurants, I'd advise the owner (who, out of courtesy and kindness, could have pretended to approach us as is usually done... also to pretend to apologize for the wait) to reconsider his work, otherwise he won't have a long life. For the hours of waiting, in addition to the €3 cover charge (usually the cover charge includes bread).... He charged us another €3 for the three times (so €9) we requested for the wait... I should add that it was a small place... Only a few tables... And it wasn't a Saturday. I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE.... Tourists aren't worth plucking. I invite you to come to my area and for that amount you could have eaten serious, abundant fish and much more. FAILED

A very quiet restaurant. There were two of us, and we ordered two appetizers and two fish-based entrees, a bottle of water, and a glass of white wine. Everything was superb; the fish was incredibly fresh and of high quality, justifying the moderately high prices. Highly recommended; we'll definitely be back.
