13/02/2025: We went to IKEA to buy furniture for the living room and create a tailor-made solution. The in-store experience was positive, with good display and helpful staff. However, once we have chosen the furniture, we were told that the delivery is managed directly by them, while the assembly is entrusted to an external company that can be contacted via an app called Task. In our case, having a plasterboard wall, we were advised to contact this company first to check the feasibility of the assembly. This additional step wasted our time and in the end we decided to buy the furniture elsewhere where they offered both delivery and assembly services. It's a shame that IKEA no longer offers the assembly service directly, because it would have made everything simpler and more immediate.
