Una zuppa di cipolle con caciocavallo eccezionale, polpette al pomodoro sublimi e ottimi cannelloni. Il tutto in un locale molto carino con un servizio cortese ed efficiente. Lo consiglio vivamente

Locale carino con buona carne alla brace con griglia a vista e ottima cappa, non si sentono odori. Personale gentile, prezzi nella media. Buonissimo il pane tostato con olio e l'aglianico della casa. Taralli ai peperoni cruschi ottimi.

Masseria without infamy and without praise. Practically non-existent welcome, shy and awkward staff. Good food, average for the place. More or less adequate price. All quite anonymous

Nice restaurant located in Montalbano at the Masseria Ancella. Good service with quality food. Also much appreciated was the outdoor garden with swimming pool where you could sit on a nice sofa and take advantage of the pleasant evening. See you soon

Very welcoming and well-kept farmhouse, surrounded by small trulli and greenery. The cuisine is quite traditional but almost every dish has at least one "contamination", even if made with local ingredients. The quality of the dishes is of a high level for the entire menu (we did not try starters), obviously with better choices than others depending on your taste. The portions are not as small as in other farms. Among the first courses, the strascinate with ragù, ricotta and crunchy aubergines is highly recommended. Among the second courses, the priest's hat to the primitive is recommended. However, I don't recommend the donkey since, perhaps due to the "fault" of the cut, it was a little dry and very very similar to a slice of horse. The desserts are truly exceptional, what surprised us the most was the ricotta foam with caramelized celery: the ricotta was very delicate and the celery gave a great boost at the end of the bite. The quality/price ratio is also good: for 5 first courses, 3 second courses, 4 desserts, 1 chip and a bottle of wine (€25) we spent €188. That is €33/person without wine. Last note: personally I found the choice of bringing the same first courses in the same pan very nice so as not to clutter up the table too much, however I would suggest asking the diners for approval first as not everyone might like it the same way.

02/09/2024: For those who want to enjoy good food and an amazing atmosphere overlooking the sea! It stands out for the quality of the fresh products, the hospitality and kindness of Alessandro, the owner, always attentive to the customer's needs and available for any request. We chose a seafood appetizer (with cold samples) and two first courses. The appetizer is rich in dishes: octopus (exquisite), mussels, swordfish, local pilchard and many other delicacies, all delicious, accompanied by a good white wine recommended by Alessandro. And then the first ones... One more enjoyable than the other! A classic seafood dish and cuttlefish ink with burrata and red prawn tartare... DIVINE!!! The prices are very honest. Definitely recommended place!

03/02/2025: Spartan, essential tavern, it seems to have gone back in time. It is located a few meters from the heart of the Sassi, near Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Typically and genuinely Matera menu, delicious bread balls, as are the first courses and the stew with potatoes, a good dessert of the day. Very kind staff. Excellent quality/price ratio. One of the surprises of our stay in the city. Compliments. Highly recommended
28/01/2025: We were welcomed and pampered by the owner and the staff... all accompanied by excellent live music!! I highly recommend it.
