Perfect environment for a restaurant like this: wooden tables, improvised chairs and menu written on the blackboard.
The owner and waiters are very kind, approachable, and always ready to give suggestions both to those who are not locals and to those who know the dishes by heart but want a few more details.
The value for money is excellent, the dishes are plentiful and all well executed. Although it is a place based on Piedmontese tradition, there is no shortage of more modern dishes such as artichoke carbonara. For those who have already tried ravioli del plin with meat sauce, I highly recommend those with cabbage with an unexpectedly strong flavour.
The house wines and coffee are also good.
The desserts are also absolutely worth trying, another excellent use of local ingredients.
Truly not to be missed.

A nice atmosphere for dining with your family if you want to try typical Piedmontese cuisine, the service is familiar and welcoming and the menu changes depending on the season and the products available. Excellent quality! They were also super kind, friendly and helpful, there was even a very small girl with us.

Classic Turin Piola, where the kindness of the staff, good food and "honest" prices stand out.
We took advantage of the fresh mushrooms and their off-menu dishes based on them.

Old traditional Turin piola. The environment is welcoming and characteristic. The guys at the service are splendid, helpful and friendly. We have been to Cantinone for a Sunday lunch (more than once) and it never disappoints. Now it's mushroom season and they come prepared. The carbonara with porcini mushrooms and their rabbit tuna is very good and I recommend it!
Obviously how can we not mention the welcome salami which is a super welcome treat!

Couple's lunch. Good quality of ingredients but a lot of work needs to be done on the environment which shows a certain tavern appeal but veering towards "scruffy". Duly "refreshed" it can certainly be an excellent opportunity to try it again. The red bulk wine is very good.

The long wait to find a table (the place is small, book well in advance) was really worth it! Seeing is believing, original cuisine without being pretentious, but above all DELICIOUS. What might seem like a very ordinary tavern turned out to be a wonderful surprise! Well done!
