It is the fixed stop every year at the beginning of August, for a dinner with friends eating frogs and small fish. We always have a good time, it's a simple place but the food is good and the staff is friendly

If you take the fixed menu everything is fine. We also took the cold cuts platter for 4 people...meager and with the products not exactly "cut at the moment". We were passing through and we stopped there...at the tables of the regular customers, things however changed a lot, even the attention to changing the cutlery or bringing back the bread...and yet we had ordered the same things...mha !

Dovendo andare a prendere mia nipote all’aeroporto di Malpensa, e visto che i miei contatti erano chiusi per ferie, ho dovuto cercarmi un’altro posto. Questo ristorante si trova davanti a una spiaggia sul lago per cui è molto frequentato visto che ha molti posti sia all’interno che esterno. Essendo molto caldo ho preferito un posto all’ombra riparato. Spaghetti cacio e pepe, bistecca alla griglia con patate arrosto. Tutto molto buono.

Having to go to Malpensa I stopped for lunch in this place in front of the lake with many seats both inside and outside. I had spaghetti cacio e pepe, grilled steak with roast potatoes. All very good and very friendly staff.

08/12/2024: very characteristic restaurant, in the heart of Varese, which manages to teleport you to another region
05/12/2024: I tried the restaurant, considering the fact that it is one of the historic restaurants in Varese, over the years I have seen a slight decline in quality. The environment is informal, the service is a little slow, the staff is very courteous, welcoming and helpful. The dishes offered are very good and the raw materials are of excellent quality, in my humble opinion I would give a refresh to the 90s style dishes. In my opinion with a few small changes it could return to one of the best restaurants in the city. Prices are average for what is offered, the wine cellar is good with a wide variety of bottles.
