Canopia In Bagheria

Good food (at least the pizzas), nice view, but a place that aspires to appear "refined" (and charges you 3.50 for a cover charge...) simply can't offer an aperitivo accompanied by only 4 olives and 8 tarallini (and, what's more, upon request, repeated...)! There's definitely room for improvement.

I had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant last night. The overall culinary experience was positive, but there were some organizational issues that deserve attention. The cuisine is undoubtedly the strong point: beautifully presented dishes, quality ingredients, and balanced flavors. We particularly enjoyed the lobster pasta, which was tasty and well-prepared. However, the service didn't live up to the quality offered by the kitchen, as we weren't provided with the proper utensils to open the lobster; they arrived only after our plates were empty, forcing us to improvise with a fork and knife. The owner, though friendly, spent a long time talking to other guests who were unsure, which further slowed down the service, leaving the waiters a bit confused. The bill is in line with the local average, so there's no reason to complain about the price. With greater attention to communication and attentive service, this restaurant could truly achieve excellence.

I've been to this restaurant before. Last night I invited eight people. Aside from a pasta dish with sea urchins (€28.00), which contained very little sea urchin, I'm honest. The waiter, who had understood, made up for it, but that shouldn't happen in a restaurant that claims to be upscale. Otherwise, the food was good and well-cooked. A careful restaurateur, however, wouldn't place a table for nine, preventing any communication between the diners, next to a table of six adults and seven children, who were loud and incredibly lively and running around. Given this inexcusable inconvenience, not least because the restaurant has been downgraded to a pizzeria, we felt the requirement of class and elegance that justifies the price was lacking. I thought it was excessive to pay 32 euros for the cover charge, 30 euros for the Zapaca, and 75 euros per person. I definitely won't be returning.

We dined at Canopia, unfortunately on an August evening when it rained heavily, having booked on the terrace. However, they managed to move us inside and handled the situation admirably. What can I say, everything was impeccable. The staff's service was fantastic, and the food exceeded my expectations. Honorable mention also goes to the owners, who are truly wonderful and kind people! I will definitely be back and will recommend it to anyone.

Excellent food and attentive service

I am a pizza lover. I can confirm that this restaurant makes the best pizza I have ever eaten. In addition, there is amazing service with a beautiful view of Palermo and the endless sea.

Last night, August 12th, we celebrated my son's 18th birthday at Canopia; it was a success...all our guests were delighted not only with the elegance and sophistication of the venue, immersed in an unparalleled natural setting, but above all with the deliciousness of the food served, the explosion of flavor in every course, and the freshness of the ingredients used. I sincerely thank Chef Salvatore Giuliano, who from the very beginning, when it came to selecting the dishes for the menu, demonstrated unquestionable professionalism, expertly advising us on which dishes to include. The chef also made himself even more precious in our eyes when, in the early afternoon of the same day of the party, he called us and suggested we change the first course, thanks to the unexpectedly fresh amberjack! We dined under the stars and with a splendid view of the illuminated coast, in a specific spot of the venue we selected, accommodated by a very kind waitress who went out of her way to accommodate our choices, despite the logistical challenges! We also extend a heartfelt thank you to the dining room staff, who were attentive to our every request. Well done everyone, you helped make our special day unforgettable!
