While cycling along the Via Francigena, we found this well-stocked shop open, which also offers delicious food. We picked up some focaccia and local sweets for lunch, recommended by the lovely lady. The shop also sells non-food items and is open until 1:30 PM. Thank you for your service! P.S. The shop packages and ships pasta, sweets, preserves, etc. throughout Italy.

Osteria Monacelle

04/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome at this charming, intimate little restaurant. The service was impeccable. The food was excellent, with surprising aromas and spices. Luckily, there weren't many of us, as the dining room is quite noisy. Thank you very much.

12/06/2026: Best restaurant in all of Puglia, located in a small village far from the crowds. Outstanding service and cuisine. Well worth the detour.
07/06/2026: A group of 8 without a reservation... Mimmo, the owner, immediately organized the dining room so we wouldn't be left out. This alone shows the restaurant's professionalism. The dinner was absolutely outstanding, with top-quality fish and meat, which the children had, and which looked excellent. The fish and meat main courses were excellent, as were some of the desserts, which are homemade by the owners. What can I say... A wonderful discovery, we'll definitely be back!
