A little corner of Sicily in the center of Milan. Halfway between a rotisserie, bistro, bar, bakery, it is a super pleasant place to have lunch or an aperitif based on Sicilian specialties ... I love their arancini! Outdoor tables to enjoy everything facing the park of Corso Indipendenza.

If you want to eat Sicilian food you have to stop by I Compari. From savory (arancini, pythons, parmigiana, sword rolls etc.) to sweet (granite, cream etc.) all very good, all the flavors take you back to Sicily. Kind, attentive staff.

One Saturday afternoon at 6.45pm I went with two old friends for an aperitif
Two spritzes with Aperol and one with Campari
All accompanied by a series of truly excellent pizzas, tapas, olives, chips, arancini, etc
Excellent service. Always attentive and ready
To be repeated

It's been a long time since I've been here but I remembered that they made pistachio croissants so I decided to get one to take away.
The service was very slow even though the staff was there (I saw at least 3/4 guys) and the place was not full at all.
I remembered that it was expensive but maybe not that much... and not all prices were displayed to the public.
The pistachio croissant was there: a fairly normal sized croissant, crunchy even if a little too greasy and probably not made by them. A note of merit instead goes to the cream (and not spreadable cream) which was really very good!
Every year (more or less) I come back to it! Maybe because I always hope for improvement, but let's move on.
Alas, I wanted a simple chocolate granita (in the end we're talking about water, cinnamon, cocoa and sugar...) and so I took a small one... Good, it was good even if a little too melted, the brioche was also good but guys, a small glass like that and a brioche can't cost that much! A whopping €3.50 for the granita and the same for the Brioche... I think we'll see each other again next year... maybe.
I wanted a granita, if not original, at least similar to the Sicilian one so I came back here because I remembered that it was expensive but at least good... But this time it was just expensive... it looked like ice cream and not granita... also good and but far from a Sicilian granita... I was disappointed :(
