Excellent cuisine, rustic but well-kept room, very characteristic service. A guarantee of quality.

As soon as we arrive we find ourselves in front of an evocative place that aroused a sort of general "wow". We enter and the impressions felt on the outside are also confirmed on the inside, the foundations of this old barn release a combination of enchantment, harmony and simplicity. The warm and welcoming atmosphere is given to us by the furnishings: the huge vintage tables, the terracotta floor, the sideboard ruined by time. . In short, it really felt like being in a Romagna "ca" of the past where a carefree lifestyle dedicated to worldly pleasures reigned. Too bad about the service, the woman who welcomed us seemed a little excited, angry at the world... maybe she wasn't happy with the winner of Sanremo (?) As soon as we sit down, a basket of stratospheric bread is brought to the table, very soft focaccia with a crust covered in salt, black bread as soft as a cloud and crunchy loaves of bread ideal for making the slipper. How wonderful. We decide to order: 😋 Appetizers: • Ricotta and artichoke pie with crispy bacon: a decidedly perfect flan, soft, delicate, compact and doughy (in a positive way) with a harmonious combination of flavours. A light hint of flavor was given by the crunchy bacon which contrasted the sweetness of the ricotta. The cream cheese that dripped from the top of the cake, spraying the entire dish, was also excellent. • Smoked loin with Ghiacciola oil and wild radicchio: a quality, light loin with a woody scent. Intense oil, with an olive flavor which, with that touch of bitterness, enhanced the flavor of the loin. First: • Black cabbage soup, potatoes, beans, cod and passatelli: pasta and cooking at the top, there are no excuses, here there is art, history and tradition. The only flaw was the abundance of parsley which somewhat obscured the delicacy of the other ingredients. Whatever happens, thanks to the passatello we had the opportunity to resurrect an emotion that had sunk and was almost lost in the depths of our soul. Thank you. Second: • Pan-fried rabbit with Taggiasca olives and oregano: simple and rustic and with a tender consistency. Too bad about the disproportionate quantity of oil which made everything a little too greasy. Sweets: • Chocolate cake with whiskey cream and mascarpone cake with cinnamon crumble and raspberry sauce. Normally sweet, velvety, abundant. Nothing special. Wine: 🍷 - "Leggiolo" Sangiovese Superiore 2022: ruby ​​red colour, intense and decisive flavour. The cuisine is without frills but with a lot of substance, it's a shame the same can't be said about the service. The welcome was cold, not what you expect when you go to someone's "home" and the service was fluctuating, distracted, elusive, enervated. . We felt a little neglected. In short, you come to Cà Murani to enjoy home-made but refined cuisine, substantial but delicate, traditional but not obvious. You leave satisfied with the pleasures of the palate but disheartened by the context. Rating: 72/100 Price: €120 (with €26 of wine).

Authentic restaurant. The location is beautiful, rustic with large, spacious tables and a wonderful fireplace, exposed beams and terracotta floors. Entering the door you feel like you're taking a step into the past. The menu is limited but you cannot fail to find taste and quality, the off-menu items are very interesting. The service was attentive, impeccable and non-formal. The authentic owner is the strong point of the room. Definitely overall one of the most interesting places in Faenza, it has a clear identity and a coherent proposal, a fair value for money and personally I love authenticity!

Restaurant in the historic center of Faenza, rustic setting with refined cuisine!! The menu of this restaurant changes very often (almost daily), there are dishes that you can find more frequently, but it is always a surprise!! The girl who runs the room is nice, very attentive and knows how to recommend both dishes and wines well. Good quality/price ratio highly recommended!!

Cena di coppia in una tranquilla serata di ottobre. La location da fuori è carinissima ma entrando sembra di tornare indietro nella Romagna di 150 anni fa. Pavimenti originali, travi di legno originali meravigliose, caminetto accesso che emana un tepore fantastico e due bellissimi gattini che se la dormono serenamente sopra due sedie di paglia. Sembra di entrare a casa di qualcuno in in tempo che ormai non c’è più. Mise en place super minimale. Si mangia su vecchi tavoli in legno. La cucina è molto buona, con materie prime che veramente seguono la stagionalità. Pochi piatti ma ben fatti e di gusto. Incredibile la battuta di carne con porcini freschi tagliati a crudo ed un filo di olio brisighello. Faraona arrosto davvero ben fatta. Personale cortese ma alla mano. Pochi fronzoli ma tanta sostanza. Mi piace. Tornerò!

Locale ampio, con arredo tipico da trattoria, tavoli in legno rustico marroni caldi e soffitto con travi di legno, in uno scorcio di vicolo cieco. Personale alla mano cortese, servizio veloce, ma eravamo in pochi. Carpaccio di manzo con aceto ed erbe aromatiche con insalata cappuccio molto abbondante e molto buono. I passatelli con seppie e mazzancolle, con ristretto di canocchie e vongole abbondante, buono così come il cappone arrosto con molti contorni di verdure. Fiaschetta di Sangiovese. Prezzi contenuti.
