The bar in Matera gave us a pleasant, relaxed stop, with the tables outside fitting nicely into the atmosphere of the city. The snacks we tried were nice and generally honest for what they offer, but without leaving any particular impression. Nevertheless, the place had a simplicity that made you feel comfortable and the whole experience flowed pleasantly, like a little break in the walk.

Breakfast was enjoyed at Bà mè Carmerlingo, kindly provided by our guesthouse host in Matera. The establishment offers a classic Italian breakfast, with a selection of savory and sweet items, accompanied by fruit juice and coffee. Quick service, pleasant atmosphere – perfect for starting the day before visiting the Sassi.

On a day trip to Matera, we stumbled upon this bar by chance. We decided to stop for a bite to eat because we were hungry after the guided tour. The sandwiches we ordered were incredibly good. High-quality ingredients and truly perfect combinations! The service was also excellent, as the staff was young, friendly, and helpful. Prices are moderately low considering it's in the center of Matera. Highly recommended.

We only drank some beers, which I must say were very good, but don't expect any snacks to quench your thirst, as they won't serve them. The waiters were rather bored.
