We looked beyond some of the reviews and ate at this trattoria on a Friday evening in November. The veranda was warm, beautifully set, and welcoming. They brought us something to eat before we ordered; the portions were good, and so was the food. The service was standard, and the girls were helpful; the place was cute and easy to find. We had a great time.

Located just steps from the market, the setting is quite pleasant—it's a shame the service left something to be desired… “No more tables available,” we were told. Fine. But what a surprise to see other customers arrive without a reservation right after us! Lucky for them, we got a prime spot… right in front of the entrance. Drafty atmosphere included. I tried to place my order in my rather broken Italian (good intentions count, right?). And then, plot twist: the owner spoke perfect French… but only to the other customers. Apparently, we weren't to his liking—or perhaps my imaginary Neapolitan accent scared him off 😅. As for the food: a Caprese salad for a starter, simple and satisfying. Crispy fried sardines (with a slice of lemon, mind you, not a whole wedge, don't overdo it). Next, two plates of spaghetti alle vongole with zucchini: generous with olive oil, a little less so with smiles. The bill: €65 for everything. Decent, nothing spectacular. In short, an honest meal, nothing more, nothing less… but we're not sure we'll go back without a little welcome note as a bonus.

Excellent cuisine and delightful hospitality

I ate really well, mussel stew and trofie alla catanese, then tiramisu, all good, beautiful place just how I like it, especially the homemade liqueur made by my mother, thank you and if I have the chance I will return, keep it up

Great food, an absolute must when in San Remo. Everything tastes fantastic here. An original place with genuine craftsmanship. Everything is just right here.

We live in Sanremo, and this is our home base. Everything is sweet here. A must-see osteria in Sanremo's old town (Pigna) offers pleasant jazz music and a hanging garden in the middle of a peaceful haven. Mama cooks, what a cuisine! The pasta, the fish, the desserts—everything is delicious! The prices are affordable. A must-try and repeat without hesitation.👍
