Calypso Drink & Food In Badesi

This isn't meant to be a review, but a message. We're two Tuscan guys on vacation in Sardinia, and one Saturday night we decided to come here to dance. We trusted the venue and the reviews, expecting a carefree evening. Unfortunately, things went differently. My boyfriend and I heard people calling us "gay" and "faggots." We heard a girl say to her friend, "There are gays behind you." Then came the stares, the comments, the feeling of being watched—all for a simple kiss. I'd like to be clear about one thing, however: this message isn't addressed to the venue, which bears no responsibility for what happened. It's addressed to those people who, with their words and attitude, managed to turn a fun evening into an uncomfortable one. We tried to pretend nothing was happening, to ignore it all. But, at a certain point, we had two options: respond or leave. We chose to leave. We're tired. Tired of hearing these things. Tired of feeling out of place just because we love each other. We're not freaks to be observed, we're not different, and we're not "weird." We're simply two kids, just like everyone else, who wanted to have a fun evening. The only question that comes to mind is: is it really so hard to accept two kids dancing, laughing, and kissing, without feeling the need to insult or judge them?

Beautiful view, nicely furnished, prices slightly high

A surprising discovery. My wife and I came here for the first time by chance. We found a chic place with friendly, welcoming young people at the tables. The food was spectacular! So much so that I personally complimented the chef (who is my son's age 🤣). The price was excellent for what we ate. We'll definitely be back.

Right on the seafront, overlooking the vast white beach of Badesi, with its flat, crystal-clear sea, just a dip away. Chill music and a decent Negroni at a reasonable price, far from the astronomical markups of the Costa Smeralda. This was our pleasant afternoon experience, knowing that the venue is also a key player in the nightlife.

Unfortunately, this year's visit was much worse than last year's. The service wasn't at all attentive, the food was adequate, and the customer service was subpar. And considering it was an evening with music after dinner, having to pay on top of the €160 dinner fee to stay inside the venue is truly beyond reasonable expectations. When visiting local beaches, restaurants, and nightclubs throughout Italy, for this very reason, one sometimes wonders whether there's a genuine desire to turn certain situations around, or whether it's better not to aim too high. And then there's no reason to complain when Italian tourists choose to vacation abroad.

We went for dinner just because of the reviews. Michelin Star candidate only by the price. Fresh fish for 64€ was really expensive. Before they deboned it for us, it was cold. Potatoes undercooked. Mixed grill of fish, there were 2 shrimps, 2 langoustines, a salmon patty, cooked completely hard and a piece of fish fillet. Grilled vegetables for 8€ were 10 zucchini rings and 1 tomato triangle. We also had spaghetti and octopus, which were okay. Just to be negative. Total with drinks and dinner for the 4 of us it was 180€, we have been to much better restaurants. And for this price they don't even have a menu, everything is via a QR code on a mobile phone. They didn't speak English. So consider visiting.

We had dinner at Calipso and followed the waitress's advice and ordered the seafood risotto: a truly perfect choice! Creamy, full of fresh seafood, and exceptionally flavorful. Accompanying it all was a spectacular sunset, which made the atmosphere even more magical. Friendly and attentive service. An experience we highly recommend and will definitely repeat!

The museum was very well kept, even though the rooms were very hot.
