I was particularly struck by the refinement and sophistication of both the place and the food they serve. The fish has a very high quality, so the quality-price ratio is right. I also asked for a small variation in the dessert because I didn't like an ingredient that was contained in it, the staff immediately proved helpful, friendly and kind.

Excellent food, qualified staff, location... on the sea... what can I say... always fascinating.

A pleasant discovery during the autumn exploration of the Adriatic restaurants, Cala di Ponente stands out for its tasty fish-based dishes, among which I would recommend the starters. I can already hear the friendly owner replying with: "You like to win easily" with a Pescara inflection, but I ignore the thought and continue... we ordered the Cala starters (cold and hot) and added a sample of raw starters, to share. The choice turned out to be excellent: delicious and well-prepared raw meats (in the room next to the seafront the kitchen is open to view, so you can imagine little and see a lot!), very good cold ones - in particular the cod foam -, good hot ones, in the norm. As usual, I added a simple fried calamari (you can also find paranza on the menu) which was really tasty and a final sorbet. Good choice of wines, even if not on the menu, but you can let the staff recommend you. Good quality/price ratio, friendly and quick staff, well-kept location. Advised.

We came to Pescara for one day and ended up here by accident. The whole menu was great. Very good food, starters and main courses. Shrimps with zucchini will remain in our memory for a long time. Professional service. I recommend

A lunch that brought us back to the world. Decidedly. If you ate badly the night before, or feel a little down, pamper yourself and be pampered by Cala di Ponente. Excellent quality of food, excellent service, beautiful location, the owners will spoil you if they can. You definitely always leave with a smile.
