We felt right at home at Claudio's: a restaurant like his is now impossible to find, and it's an authentic glimpse into the Maremma of yesteryear, as another local patron confirmed. The dishes are incredibly delicious, the flavors unforgettable. But above all, we will treasure the warmth of the Becagli family, including Gioia and Jack, who turned this lunch into an extraordinary experience. Highly recommended!

The best place to eat in Maremma and beyond. The staff is as exquisite as the menu. Handmade pasta, cheeses, cured meats, and freshly baked tart... all accompanied by red wine and water.
The atmosphere is family-friendly, like going to lunch at your aunt and uncle's. A truly pleasant discovery, we'll definitely be back.

A memorable place... a day of bad weather while we were camping in Tuscany, I set out to find hidden restaurants in Maremma for a good lunch. What can I say? After miles of curves and ups and downs, we arrived at Becagli. Everything was truly excellent: the appetizers included fresh sausage, capocollo, Tuscan raw ham, finocchiona, and cheeses with jams.
A trio of first courses included pappardelle with truffles and porcini mushrooms, the best Maremma tortelli, with thin pasta where you can finally taste the filling (we've tried others in other places these days), and gnocchi with porcini ragù.
For second courses, we tried ossobuco with porcini mushrooms and roast veal and potatoes, finishing with a cherry tart and tiramisu. Spectacular!! Well done, and keep it up!!! 💪💪💪

This place deserves more than a review. It deserves the passion, the love, and the excellent food, just like it used to be. Feeling at home, with the truly authentic flavors of yesteryear. The hospitality of the extraordinary owners and the sweet grandmother sleeping on the couch. Just let yourself be carried away by the simplicity of the place.

I finally found the "old trattoria." You eat what you get, and it's all excellent. The owners are as genuine as the dishes they serve.
