Caffetteria Villaroel In Catania

We just had a little snack here that they advertised, but we were a bit disappointed. The food wasn’t overly fresh and didn’t seem up to par with other cafes in the area. We also noticed the servers running across the street to Spaghetti & Co, so I think they get some of their food from there (and Spaghetti & Co wasn’t very good either). That being said, the atmosphere and service was great and we enjoyed the cocktails as well. It’s a decent spot to stop by for a drink but I would look elsewhere if you’re looking for a meal.

Great little café that certainly also offers a good breakfast (apparently with an extra menu, because we had the menu with Pinsa)... Our pinsa with prociutto crudo, mozzarella and parmesan was super delicious. Great dough, crispy on the edges, fluffy. Fresh and generously topped with rocket, ham, fine pieces of mozzarella (fibrous, a sign of quality!) and shaved Parmesan. Quiet, as the second street parallel to Via Etnea and no thoroughfare for cars. Makes a big difference to other cafes and restaurants in Catania old town. Plus friendly staff at lunch/afternoon. Can we recommend...

Locale in pieno centro abbiamo mangiato due primi spettacolari . Pasta alla Norma e pasta alla Catanese . Le porzioni sono super abbondanti , la pasta fresca fatta da loro e gli ingredienti per il condimento freschissimi . Sia il proprietario che lo staff gentili ed attenti al cliente , guidatori anche nella scelta del vino . SUPER CONSIGLUATO
