Caffetteria Piansa In Firenze

After a sabbatical or Covid time I resume my food journey starting from a place where the atmosphere relaxes and lets time pass. The scent of freshly ground coffee entangled in the gloomy day sharpens the ears which warmly welcome the music of times gone by. Now that my senses have awakened from their torpor, I can taste the extract of distant countries...

I'm not often in the area, but I don't like stopping here even just for a coffee. Although I love their desserts. Friendly staff and very pleasant atmosphere!

When I find out about the area I have to go there! I find a lot, a lot of attention to quality, in both sweet and savory foods. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Some details (such as the height of the counter, much more comfortable than those of other bars, or the cold extraction of the coffee) make this my favorite place.

I discovered this café in via Gioberti last year and I went back last week because I was thrilled with the place! I have known Piansa coffee for several years and I can say that it is the absolute best of those tasted in past years. I then discovered that many of the most well-known bars in Florence and beyond (for example in Forte dei Marmi!) Florence at Dolci e Dolzzezze in Piazza Beccaria) use this type of coffee. The first time I tasted this extraordinary coffee was , at the suggestion of a dear friend, in the café on Viale Europa, where you could admire the machinery in plain sight, making this delight even more attractive. Then evidently on the wings of success the owners decided to open a delightful café where it is possible, if you find a place, to have a snack, which is also delicious with a few dishes prepared with care and "particulars". To conclude I would like to add that it is also possible to choose various types of coffee to take away in elegant sachets (you have to be careful because the coffee is often in beans and you should have a grinder at home!!!)

The very definition of hospitality - great service, super friendly and five star food and drink. I did the Aussie thing and ordered a Cappuccino in the afternoon they didn't chide me. Oh great value for money too. My coffee was only 1.6 Euroa!
