Caffetteria Grandemilia In Modena

02/06/2024: We had lunch at Oreste outdoors in the splendid Piazza Roma and it doesn't look like the restaurant I read in the reviews. Super friendly waiters, impeccable equipment, the place is retro but charming, excellent food. Prices as you can find around, we had a great time.

28/05/2024: We had an amazing dinner last night here! We didn’t have reservations but that was no problem. Many places were closed because it was Monday. We started our dinner inside as it had rained earlier in the evening. We had our 6 month old baby with us. It was fairly quiet in the restaurant so once the sun started to peer out we asked if we could move outside. They were so kind and set a table outside for us. It turned into the perfect evening. The menu was only in Italian but Google Translate saves the day. We ordered the octopus appetizer, the broccoli flan with shrimp, and the eggplant Parmesan as our antipasti. Every single dish was fantastic! For primo, we ordered the tagliatelle ragú and the rosettes. I had the rosettes and it was creamy, salty and perfectly cooked. Both were also amazing! For dessert we had oreste cup (the Enzo Ferrari special) and the affogato. Once again, perfection. The restaurant itself is so beautiful inside! It has more of a high end feel to it vs a trattoria. Same with the food. Elevated typical modenese food! Fantastic wine list! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
