Caffetteria Etoile - Piazza Dei Martiri In Napoli

Awesome gelato, best in Italy so far, homemade, huge portions and cheap! The staff were friendly and my espresso was nice also.

My aunt and I are regulars. It's a shame it's small. The service is excellent: courteous, polite, kind, and fast. The place is extremely clean and welcoming. The food is fresh and delicious. You should try it at least once in your life.

Etoile is a very popular bar in Naples, at least from what I've heard, so I decided to try it both for breakfast on-site and for their lemon delicacy at Vitagliano in Santa Lucia. The lemon delicacy, which I was unfortunately very disappointed with, was filled exclusively with cream, without any lemon curd, and I found it rather dry. My experience at the bar was different, however, where I tried brioche croissants, one with cream and one with cream and black cherry. I have to say, these were very good. I wasn't entirely impressed with the service: I found it excessively rushed, so much so that I barely had time to order.

A lovely café, pastry shop, and ice cream parlor in the heart of Naples, perfect for a stop during a stroll or a sweet treat. The atmosphere is refined, and the dessert selection is interesting, with sfogliatella and truly delicious fresh pastries, as is the artisanal gelato. Unfortunately, the coffee didn't entirely convince me: it had a bitter and slightly burnt aftertaste, not up to par with what you'd expect in the Piazza dei Martiri area (it's served with very fragrant biscuits) compared to other typical Neapolitan cafés. The sfogliatella, however, was very good! Cute place, friendly staff, and a selection of pastries and gelato that's definitely worth a try. 🍰☕️
