We've been frequenting this bar for years now, and it's always a pleasant confirmation. The quality of the products, the courtesy and friendliness of the staff, and, last but not least, the prices that have remained unchanged over time, make this place a sweet daily destination during our holidays in Castro.

Bar Baccaro in Castro is a true gem: excellent coffee, fresh and delicious pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere. Gabriele, the barista, is excellent, always friendly and attentive to detail. Stopping here is always a pleasure!

Best pastry shop and café in Salento! It's rare these days to find truly artisanal pastry shops in the area that know how to pamper their customers with consistently fresh and natural products, but Baccaro is one of them! Superb croissants and pasticciotti, friendly, courteous, and always helpful staff, not to mention the aperitifs, also featuring artisanal appetizers and excellent cocktails. A must-see for anyone visiting Salento.

Una bomboniera di locale, pulito,accogliente con staff meraviglioso che ti fa sentire a casa, prodotti buonissimi,produzione artigianale che si sente in ogni pietanza assaggiata,una più squisita dell'altra. E nota di merito importantissima per me che sono intollerante al lattosio ho potuto scegliere diversi dolci e gelato con tranquillità perché senza lattosio, una rarità nei bar pasticceria. Stra consigliato

11/12/2025: Great family experience. We went with friends (other families) and had a great time. Excellent service and helpful staff, great location, truly a beautiful place. Well done...I would recommend it.
25/07/2025: This year we decided to spend a week in this area for our summer vacation, and since we'd never been before, we chose this place randomly. It looked good on websites and was close to, but not in, the center of Gallipoli. It was an excellent choice: clean and comfortable rooms, excellent service, excellent breakfast, and a clean, air-conditioned property with a large, secure indoor parking lot. Most importantly, it's located in a quiet area where you can sleep soundly. A 5-minute drive will take you to the center of Gallipoli and the area's best beaches. It has an on-site restaurant where you can dine. I highly recommend it and thank the owners for their hospitality.

16/10/2025: Bakery offering quality bread, friselline, and biscuits, all expertly made in the old-fashioned way, and you can taste it! My only suggestion (I hope it's implemented) would be to see the words "Wood-fired oven" written on both the sign and the product labels: but Mr. Piero is absorbed in his work and less in communication. Perhaps he takes this type of baking for granted, which is a tradition here, but requires a great deal of effort and dedication from those who make it and shouldn't be underestimated. However, I think it's worth HIGHLIGHTING: everyone in the area knows about it, but there are also tourists and those just passing through, and this could help them better understand and appreciate the effort put into producing their baked goods.
26/08/2025: You can't judge the atmosphere; it's just a store. The bread and pizza are excellent. The biscuits are also delicious.
