Wenn man nicht auf Ketten steht und eher entspannt, wie in alten Zeiten einen Kaffee genießen will, ist man hier richtig. Das Ambiente ist das Gegenteil von Starbugs: Also, wem das gefällt, der sollte hier nicht herkommen! Ein kleines Cafe, old school eingerichtet mit Holzvertäfelungen und Bezug zur litherarischen Historie von Triest. Autentisches Personal, hilfsbereit und nett. Kaffee und Croissants perfekt. Hier kommen viele Einheimische mal eben rein, um einn Nero zu schlürfen ... Absolutes Muss für die, die das Ursprüngliche lieben!

One of the most welcoming bars in Trieste. Excellent café and pastry shop, the aperitifs are also good and are always accompanied by tasty appetizers. Suitable for both a quick coffee and a hot tea with good music in the background. The kindness of the owners is an added value.

28/06/2025: In the area for work we stop at this restaurant for lunch as it is close to the hotel where we are staying. Tables in the garden with a tent, the atmosphere is very nice even if when it is hot you can hear it a lot down there. A menu is not brought, a few dishes are offered, a take-away menu brought only after ordering and we discover many other dishes not offered. As advice I would say to leave a complete menu to the customer, at most the variations of the day are exposed verbally. Cacio e pepe unfortunately too liquid, while the squid ink is good. Very small bathroom along the corridor. The service is however kind and present. I count for a total of €40 per person, I do not argue about the amount, but since I did not have a menu the prices are not known, if you also give me a total amount without a detail the customer will never know the cost of each individual course.
