Caffe Rialto In Venezia

Cafe Rialto is a small tourist trap restaurant that is just steps from the Rialto Bridge. They do all of the typical things that bother North American tourists, like: - different prices for takeout versus dine-in - a bathroom that is only available to customers - short and attentive staff who will charge inconsistently As much as I normally don't like to knock on businesses, I would recommend steering clear of this place and trying to find a more authentic café while you are in Venice

The owner is Chinese and the part-timers are also Chinese, but contrary to the reviews, they were all very friendly. I still had time before the gondola ride, but it was so hot I was exhausted. It was past 4 p.m., so I searched around for a nearby restaurant or bar and found that they wouldn't even serve coffee. I wanted something cold, so I ordered a shakerato, and it was delicious. Other places say it's lukewarm without ice, but this place had plenty of ice. I was worried it might be lukewarm, so I asked for ice in a glass, and they happily gave it to me. I was a little hesitant to order just one shakerato, so I ordered some arancini, which was also fine. The shakerato was so delicious that I had another glass and was considering a third before leaving this review. I highly recommend the shakerato on a hot day!!!

A spectacular chocolate if you go to Venice, an incredible pleasure for the palate

Where else can you get a plate of freshly made hot french fries and a couple of glasses of chianti? We skipped on the cannoli, though they looked good. The servers were friendly and the place filled up once we sat down.

The rating is lower, only because we will have one price for sitting in and another for takeaway. The coffee is delicious and the pastries are dry, but the price for an espresso and cappuccino with a biscuit was 18e, very expensive.

Fair price, delicious coffee and lovely sweets. I'd gladly come again! The service is also super friendly.
