Caffè Principe In Forte dei marmi

We were there last weekend. The place was beautiful, the products were excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing was that the staff was too few for the size and type of place!

Beautiful place, good products, but such an important and luxurious structure needs more people on the staff!

My husband and I always order our afternoon coffee without sugar. Last Sunday, we went to Forte dei Marmi and, since the bar where we usually order it was on vacation, we decided to try the Principe. The atmosphere is spacious and elegant, with nice tables and chairs, but we went to the bar and then took a stroll. Unfortunately, the sugar was average to mediocre; it was also bitter, so it dropped to mediocre. When I asked, the bartender replied that if he'd added sugar and I'd wanted it bitter, I wouldn't have drunk it. This was a truly curious response, because in every bar they ask us how we like our coffee; especially since we were at the bar, practically in front of the bartender. But at the register, the bill was inconsistent with the product served: 11 euros for the two coffees! At the various bars where we order coffee, in Versilia and Lucca, the price at the counter ranges from €2.50 to €3.00 per coffee, except at Forte, where at another bar in the square it costs €3.50 per cup; but that's fair enough, considering we're in Forte. It's a shame, because we live in Versilia and would have happily added Principe to the bars where we order coffee, but that won't be the case.

Great place, very welcoming, very friendly staff

I never thought Prada's renovation could give the prince an even more magical touch, without distorting it. Every little detail made the difference during our visit, from the quality of the pastries to the service, which carefully anticipated our every need. We were served by Micole, who succeeded in further elevating the perception of the place, a perfect mix of professionalism, dedication, and smiles. Highly recommended, we'll be back soon.

I'd like to point out that I don't usually write reviews. I visited the place during the week, the environment was clean and elegant; the staff was professional and the service was attentive. I'd especially like to mention Micole for the care and dedication she showed in guiding us through this experience. From the presentation of the products to the kindness in the treatment, we were truly amazed by her passion and empathy. It's true that you're born with a talent for this job.

After a short wait, we grabbed a table on the outdoor veranda. It's beautiful and welcoming, though it's a shame it's right off the road... we had an aperitif, and the service was good. Prices are moderately high, but in line with the rest of Forte dei Marmi. However, I would have liked to know at least the wine list of the wine I was drinking; if you want to keep things high, you have to do so on everything.

A quick stop after a stroll around Forte dei Marmi. Venetian cake with truly delicious gianduja cream. Prices are definitely higher than average, but that's understandable given the setting.
