Refined environment with comfortable armchairs, excellent fast service

Historic bar in Forte, with 70s decor, it seems frozen in time but it's not old, it's elegantly vintage. The pastry shop is of the highest standard. You can't go to the fort and not at least have a coffee and a dessert at the Prince's.

Nice environment, well furnished and welcoming. We stopped for a coffee and an ice cream. Both far below expectations for the location and price. The cream of the coffee is inconsistent, the taste of the coffee is similar to a service station. The ice cream, a two flavor cone looked industrial. In a place like this, everything has to be excellent!

Posto bello, personale molto gentile… caffè davvero buono… dolci deliziosi. E’ un piacere sedersi ogni volta al tavolino del caffè Principe del Forte.

Locale storico, recentemente restaurato con cura e rispetto, per la struttura storica. Vi consiglio di sedervi, estremamente piacevole, stare anche ai tavolini fuori, in piena zona pedonale. La pasticceria e’ davvero ottima, mi piacciono molto le varianti di lievito, che hanno fatto, ultimamente, come il cubo alla crema di limone od il budino di pastiera. Vi consiglio anche, un assaggio dei pasticcini, poiche’ la frolla e’ molto friabile, ma non untuosa. Le torte si possono avere su ordinazione, anche espressa, in meno di un’ora, oppure potrete trovarne di pronte, da asporto che sono bellissime e molto buone. Il gelato del Principe, e’ sempre stato famoso, in Versilia ed ho constatato che ha mantenuto la sua proverbiale genuinita’. Per i salati, mini tramezzini di tantissimi gusti, o panini al latte con affettati di alta qualita’, dovete aspettare che ve li facciano espressi, cosa che rende un po’ lunga la sosta . Infatti il piu’ grande difetto di questo posto, sta’ nella lentezza, del personale, dietro il bancone oltre che nei prezzi altissimi, giustificati forse dai vari fattori di luogo/qualita’/ offerta / packaging. Proprio quest’ ultimo e’ un punto di grande forza, bellissime confezioni e sacchetti per l’ asporto.

Caffè Principe, in the heart of Forte dei Marmi, is a historic venue with refined furnishings and comfortable armchairs that invite you to relax. The recent renovation, carried out by the Prada Group, gave the place a modern look but the quality of the food and drinks does not always live up to expectations. The dishes, both sweet and savory, are mediocre and almost double or triple the price of a normal bar. I also read this in many other reviews, so it makes me understand that it is a common thought. As for the environment, the interior of the place is well-kept and quiet, perfect for those who want to relax. The outside, however, can be less pleasant, especially due to the presence of smokers, the passage and the proximity to the road where arrogant car owners often pass by revving their gas just to show off. For this reason, I prefer the interior, where the atmosphere is calmer. The service is courteous and of high quality, while at the checkout we could use more of a smile and less detachment. However, it remains one of the best bars in Forte dei Marmi.

Elegant venue, very welcoming and relaxing environment. The staff is very kind. Excellent pastry shop. Prices are accordingly: 2 coffees served at the table 8 euros.

I had a great time, even for a simple ice cream..... Wonderful in the center of the main street of Forte dei Marmi.... High prices but in line with the area so you shouldn't complain.... Excellent service. .... A waiter also recommended a place for dinner, where I had a divine dinner..... Thanks again. Daniel
