Caffè Positano In

This is an honest review from a Korean. First off, don't use Google Maps. You will be greeted by over 500 stairs spread out right before your eyes. (It puts the "Stairway to Heaven" at the gym to shame.) Please make sure to use the road. No stairs! I ate lunch late, so I changed my plans and decided to just grab some coffee, but I ended up digesting it all on the way up. However, as soon as I arrived, the night view unfolded right before my eyes. At this point, you must be wondering about the issues: racism, the staff's attitude, the price, or what I ate! I will explain now. First off, there was absolutely no racism. The staff were very polite, full of energy, and witty, so I had a great time throughout the meal and finished it with laughter. The menu items were seafood risotto, a sea bass dish, and three beers. Seafood risotto!!! It was insane. I went there after seeing reviews saying it was salty by Korean standards, but no, it was just right. The sea bass dish had absolutely no fishy taste and was very light and savory. It came with potatoes, and they tasted amazing when eaten together. You definitely have to try it. I didn't know the exact name of the dish myself, so I ordered it by looking at a picture. The staff recognized me as Korean and asked if I wanted spicy oil; just ask for it. It isn't very spicy by Korean standards, but it feels like less spicy chili oil. I poured it over my risotto. For reference, they also sell coffee, such as iced Americano and iced latte, which are must-haves for Koreans.

We were walking past this restaurant after a full day in positano, we were staying right above the restaurant so we figured we would ask if they had availability in 30 minutes for a table by the water. We started talking to the manager of the restaurant, Alvaro and he was a HOOT! He said he would absolutely have a table ready for us in 30 minutes😊 We came back in 30 minutes and a table wasn’t ready but they immediately gave us complimentary champagne for the wait and they continuously were checking up on us to make sure we were ok as we were waiting for a table. Once we sat down we had a lovely waiter named Benito. He was so sweet and so kind and took care of everything. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had the best dinner and we did! We will be eating here for the rest of our trip!

Alvaro, Mario, and Benito were amazing servers, the service in this place was another level, seriously. I was cracking up every time they came around. The service is there to help you celebrate, and loosen up. I feel like I went to a massage parlor with their service

They are friendly. Above all, the food is delicious. The short-haired male server was kind and spoke Korean.

We stayed in Positano for 3 days. We had dinner and breakfast at Caffe Positano. Food was delicious. Croissants were one of the best we had in Italy. The Lobster Linguine was so flavorful. Staff here were wonderful. Can't beat the views at this place. Paolo was fantastic. Paolo and Anastasia were so friendly. We would come back to this place in a heart beat.

We ate here twice, and would have eaten again had we been in Positano longer. We had one day on the terrace by the road and the next day in the balcony over looking the bay. Stunning. Amazing service , very nice people working here with incredible service and a great sense of humor. The food was incredible. Wine list is excellent. To be honest I would not look further for another restaurant. We will be back.
