During my recent visit to Padua, I had the pleasure of stopping at Caffè Pedrocchi, a historic café located in the heart of the city. This café, also known as "the café without doors", is a symbol of Padua and offers a unique experience both for its history and the quality of the service.
The atmosphere of Caffè Pedrocchi is charming, with elegant interiors that reflect its long tradition. Each room has a distinctive character, from the refined decorations of the White Room to the historical suggestions of the Green Room, where students and intellectuals once gathered. The staff is courteous and professional, helping to make the experience even more enjoyable.
The menu offers a wide range of options, but the real specialty is the mint coffee, a unique combination of espresso with a delicate mint cream, served in a large cup and finished with a dusting of cocoa. Initially I was perplexed about this combination, but after tasting it, I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and harmony of the flavors.
In addition to coffee, the restaurant offers a selection of high-quality desserts and light dishes, ideal for a refined breakfast or a quick lunch. The pastry shop is excellent, with proposals ranging from classic shortcrust pastries to more elaborate cakes, all prepared with first choice ingredients. The prices are slightly high, but considering the historic location and the overall experience, I think they are justified.
In conclusion, Caffè Pedrocchi is a must for anyone visiting Padua. The combination of history, elegant atmosphere and culinary specialties makes this place an unmissable place for those who want to live an authentic experience in the heart of the city.

Modern and elegant bar divided into two areas, the green area is for takeaway or drinks at the counter. The red area for table service.
The Pedrocchi coffee with mint cream is very good.
Too bad about the service, very cheap and cold, they don't serve water with the coffee and they don't even give you a teaspoon for sugar even though the coffee costs €3 and you would expect a more attentive service given the location.

Excellent pastry shop, the only surprise was the service, which in a historic place I expected to be less exotic and with a Paduan accent. Maybe I just caught a particular turn.
