Caffe Nolita In Valeggio sul mincio

10/05/2025: The smallest size of torte russa de Verona is the whole cake (piccola) for 13 EUR. So in order to try it, you have to buy a whole cake. Which I did, as I'm a pastry chef and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't like it at all... Full of artificial almond flavour and the dough is made with margarine, not with real butter, which you can taste immediately. So after one slice, I had to throw away the rest, which is a waste. I don't know if only this pastry shop uses such low quality ingredients or it's like that everywhere, as I don't plan on trying this cake again 😅

08/05/2025: Typical italian coffee and pastry to enjoy in the morning, with one of the greatest capuccino i ever had and freshly baked croissaint. Do not expect a big, quite place to stand there for hours. It is simply not like that in Italy. 11/10, thank you!
