We stopped by Caffè Montanucci while in Orvieto and really enjoyed it. The place has a very nice atmosphere and it’s quite big, with lots of seating which is always a plus. We came early so there was no queue and the service was quick. There’s a lot to choose from - plenty of pastries, cakes and also some sandwiches. I had a focaccia sandwich which was really lovely, and we also tried a cake with fresh cream that was just perfect. What surprised us the most were the prices. For such good food and a nice place, everything was very affordable. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking for breakfast or something sweet while in Orvieto.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and worried we might not understand, they patiently explained how to order in English. A mixed dish can include 2-3 items and costs approximately 10-12 euros.

Semolina cake is the showpiece in my opinion... I've tasted many, in different pastry shops and bakeries but none remotely resemble it.

It has always been the go-to café for Orvieto residents, a place for meeting and enjoying a pleasant drink. The pastries are excellent and varied, and the cold dishes are delicious for a quick lunch. During peak hours or on busy days, the staff may not provide the service expected from the establishment.

We came here 4 days in a row primarily because of the amazing service from Steven. If anyone in the whole universe deserves a pay rise it is this guy. He was friendly, attentive, prompt, engaging and delivered on every level whilst also being totally genuine. The food was good too.

The location, seemingly nestled in a cobblestoned street corner, is truly captivating. The staff is very helpful and attentive. We had breakfast here during a short stay in Orvieto, and everything was excellent.

19/09/2025: The restaurant doesn't offer much from the outside, and it doesn't look welcoming inside because it seems bare. The staff is polite, smiling, and helpful. The pizza is thin, tasty, and crispy for those who like it. I had a good time.
