It would be a real shame to go to Ascoli Piceno and not stop by Caffetteria Meletti: after reading so many positive reviews, the place lived up to my expectations. The staff was kind and welcoming. I ordered a hot chocolate with Meletti liqueur and cream: among the best I've ever had, served with some complimentary cookies that I really appreciated. The prices are a bit above average, but given the location and history of the place, they remain affordable.

Truly historic café in Piazza del Poppolo. Coffee, drinks and bar food is very good. Great place to meet for drinks inside or on the beautiful outdoor terrace in the main piazza.

The coffee is truly superb not to mention the location. . A wonderful place located in one of the most beautiful historic squares of Ascoli Piceno... cleanliness, hospitality and kindness. If you need romance this is the ideal place, it's perfect!!!

I went to Caffè Meletti with my girlfriend, and I have to say it's a very beautiful and well-kept place. The interior is antique, with decorated ceilings and truly unique paintings, elegant tables, and a fresh, peaceful atmosphere. I also enjoyed seeing the sailors' uniforms and statues displayed inside.
I had an Americano (very good and just the right amount of coffee), while she had a regular one. The prices are a bit high, but the service was excellent: the staff were courteous and knowledgeable.
Overall, it's a place I recommend visiting, even if just to stop for a moment and enjoy the historic atmosphere.

A historic venue in the heart of the charming Piazza del Popolo. The decor takes you back in time. Here you can enjoy authentic anisetta, a traditional anise-based liqueur. We've been twice for an aperitivo.
The anisette chocolates are excellent, and the prices are very competitive.
The bathroom is difficult to access, but very clean.
The staff needs to be trained if you don't want to further reduce the number of customers.

This is undoubtedly the most luxurious café and pastry shop in Ascoli Piceno, a true source of pride for this Marche city. Established in 1907, a full 118 years ago, it boasts very antique and exquisitely crafted furnishings. I can only comment on the breakfast, although lunch is available upstairs, accessed by a beautiful staircase. The coffee blend is captivating, and the breakfast pastries are fresh and delicious. The table service is very courteous, but...not exactly prompt. Prices are in line with the café's long history. Recommended!

Tappa obbligata del soggiorno ad Ascoli! Bar storico in Piazza del Popolo. Si avverte immediatamente il profumo di antico e illustre che avvolge questo locale! Il prezzo è sopra la media ma di certo in linea con gli altrettanto storici locali della nostra penisola. Consiglio vivamente la tappa, ne vale la pena.

Beh, visitare Ascoli senza fermarsi qui e bere un caffè con l’anisetta sarebbe un peccato imperdonabile.
Bar storico in stile liberty locato in una piazza altrettanto fascinosa.
Se potessi sarei lì tutte le domeniche.
Il prezzo appena sopra la norma lo vale tutto.
Personale gentile e disponibile.
Consiglio uno stop. Spero di poter ritornare per goderne meglio.
Mi è rimasto nel cuore, e il caffè all anisetta nel palato.
