Delicious sweets and coffee. The cafe's decor transports you back in time. I highly recommend it.

What can I say? This historic venue exudes a sense of history within these walls, which still retain the class and authenticity of decades past. We ate truly well, both meat and seafood. The staff was friendly and professional. Dining on the terrace with the splendid view of Ascoli Piceno is priceless.

Excellent atmosphere in Piazza del Popolo

The restaurant needs no introduction. When some of our partners from all over Italy visited, it was unthinkable not to stop by this Ascoli gem to let everyone sample Meletti Anisetta. A special mention goes to Davide Monte, who oversees the service, for his attentive service and for sharing his detailed account of this historic restaurant and Silvio Meletti's family.

Well, visiting Ascoli Piceno without stopping here and drinking a coffee with anisette would be an unforgivable sin. A beautiful historic bar in Art Nouveau style, located in an equally fascinating square. If I could, I would be there every Sunday. The price just above the norm fully justifies it. It has remained in my heart, and the coffee with anisette in the palate. Don't add sugar because the liqueur is already sweet. The staff is kind and helpful.

I recommend everyone to “visit” the Meletti café. Why? Because for me it was all a surprise. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately I hadn’t done any research and it was all a big surprise. The café, monumental, beautiful, in Art Nouveau style, is steeped in history and disorients you at first impact. And the marvelous structure, in addition to the beautiful external square, is a true “museum” setting for a marvelous painting. The uniformed staff (an old passion of mine), is competent and professional. The quality products. The historic labels. The excellent ice creams. The pistachio one... never eaten so good in my life! The prices are not low but all this has its costs, including the maintenance of this historical relic. A nice clientele including many beautiful women and many foreign tourists included. In addition, the historic and very rare metal cage carillon with mechanical bird and its history that deserves further study. Someone might doubt that they paid me for so much optimism, it is not so. I had a great time. Of course there are also points to improve. The service could be faster. Waiting times to order and reorder are too long. The staff, which is not lacking, are prepared and professional, but evidently something is jammed. The prices of the bottles of Meletti liqueurs are not displayed. The welcome to customers needs to be improved because it is practically absent. In a place of this level it is important. However I was very satisfied. Then as often happens I document myself afterwards. Online I found Videos to watch and I discovered that they even shot more than one film in this bar. If you liked the review select 👍.

Very good coffee, elegantly served. A bit cheaper at the bar than at a table, but it's worth sitting down, because the place has a fantastic decor.

Storico, tradizionale, elegantissimo, sulla piazza principale, specialità il caffè corretto con una cremina all'anice. Va visitato.

Sosta in questa storica caffetteria del centro storico di Ascoli, dallo stile elegante e d'altri tempi. Abbiamo assaggiato il Melettino che è caffè con crema chantilly. Molto buono. Personale giovanile e adeguato.
