I recently stopped at Caffè Italia in Formia, craving something more intriguing than a simple espresso. I must say I was immediately struck by the ambiance: an airy, well-maintained space with a lovely outdoor area, perfect for relaxing with friends, morning or evening. I ordered a cocktail and was pleasantly surprised by the selection: the menu offers a decidedly wide selection of cocktails and aperitifs, including various spritzes, classic long drinks, gin and tonics, mojitos, caipirinhas, margaritas, and much more. Prices are average for the area—roughly between €1 and €10. The cocktail I chose was well-balanced, carefully prepared, and served in a suitable glass, with an immediately striking presentation. Overall, the service was courteous and professional—at least for me. Regarding the price, my drink seemed in line with the quality offered: it's not cheap, but overall it reflected what you'd expect from a cocktail made with select ingredients in a pleasant setting. In short, for me, Caffè Italia remains an excellent choice for an aperitivo or evening drink: the atmosphere is inviting, the selection of drinks is extensive and well-curated, and the staff overall contributed to a pleasant experience. My only advice is to avoid the busiest hours if you want to enjoy your cocktail at a leisurely pace.
