Timeless Gem in Rome
Located in the heart of Rome, Caffè Antico is the oldest café in the city and a must-visit for an exceptional experience.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee welcomes you, with a selection of outstanding espressos and cappuccinos crafted to perfection. While prices are on the higher side, the quality of the drinks and pastries with the historical vibes justifies the cost. They have a selection of light food such as sandwiches and gelato as well.
Reservations are recommended, as this beloved café fills up quickly. Whether you're enjoying a quiet moment or engaging in conversation, the historic ambiance enhances your visit in the indoor dining as the outdoor dining is full of life watching the people and enjoying a good weather.
For a memorable taste of Rome's coffee culture, don’t miss Antico Caffè Greco.
I was very disappointed by the lack of friendliness of the girl serving tables.
In a really nice, historically important café, the lack of kindness of the staff is not acceptable
I wouldn't go back

Antico Caffè Greco is located on the famous Via dei Condotti street in Rome, Italy. Since it was opened by the Greek founder Nicola di Madalena in 1760, it is the oldest coffee shop in Rome and the second oldest coffee shop in Italy, second only to Caffè Florian in Venice. This café is famous for its rich historical heritage and cultural atmosphere. It has been a gathering place for literati, artists and politicians for more than two centuries. The interior is elegantly decorated, with red velvet seats, marble tables and gold-framed mirrors complementing each other. More than 300 pieces of art are hung on the walls, making it like a private art gallery, recording the footprints of celebrities such as Goethe, Byron, Keats and Liszt. The cafe's coffee is famous for its strong Italian flavor, especially its signature cappuccino and espresso. Paired with exquisite desserts such as cheesecake, it is an endless aftertaste. Antico Caffè Greco is not only a place to taste coffee, but also an experience that travels through time and space. Customers here seem to feel the literary and artistic atmosphere of the Grand Tour era in Rome. Although the price is slightly higher, its unique historical value and elegant environment make it a cultural landmark that tourists and locals flock to. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance to ensure a seat.
When you go to drink your coffee here you know in advance that you will pay dearly for it, logically it is one of the oldest coffee shops in Europe with a long history. But the behavior of the staff is unacceptable, smile non-existent and no desire to serve. The music kept playing and the icing on the cake was when we ordered the coffees (2 cappuccinos) €14 each, his question was "only" ???????

The meal is very ordinary... Asians are not used to eating cakes
The only amazing thing is the price, which is absolutely shocking. I really don’t need to come in.

Reviewers have fairly said enough about this great cafe.
However, I’d like to confirm that the coffee here is rich and excellent. They also have a good variety of desserts.
I tried:
* Macchiato (9/10)
* Slushy Coffee Cream (10/10)
* Orange Ricotta Cake (10/10)

Tappa nella storicità dei bar Romani con oltre 250 anni di storia.
La mia critica non è riferita al costo di euro 5,00 per 2 caffè al banco, ma che alla richiesta di un bicchierino di acqua non sia mai arrivato a destinazione.
