The waitress was very nice and welcoming, even though we had trouble speaking to her in Italian. She was very understanding and patient. The coffee was exceptional and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere felt truly authentic, even with a couple of tourists, like us, around. It left a mark on us, even though we were only there for a few minutes!

If you're ever in Rome, you've got to check out Gottico! Mi amorcito and I thoroughly enjoyed it with a super fresh cornetto and delicious coffee before heading to the Vatican. The best part is that they open super early, which is perfect for early birds. A charming spot to kick off your day!

Cafè Gotico is incredible. We stopped by on a recommendation and, even though the place was packed, they found a seat for us. We speak very (very!) rudimentary Italian, but they went above and beyond to make us feel incredibly welcome, including teaching us a few new phrases! And, probably most importantly, the food was the best, and cheapest, of our entire trip. The precious cafè dog is an added bonus!

Coffee with milk to go is €2 and they're super friendly. They also have sweets. Excellent if you stop by.
